@Alonsuke

"Those United in common cause" is my favorite by far, not only for the theme itself, but because listening to it while fighting enemies that actually talk felt amazing. There is not many boss fights in souls games that have their bosses actually talking, I think the first time it happened was in dark souls 3 I can't remember. But the fact that here they are npcs that you thought were going to be your allies the whole dlc was so unexpected to me, and the things they say while fighting and even more if you summon the other npcs to help made me fall in love with it.
@coolremedy6969
3 ай бұрын
Not only do they talk during the fight which is rare, they are FromSoft NPCs that actually talk TO EACH OTHER. That's incredibly rare. In fact, I can't think of a single other instance of NPCs having a conversation in a FromSoft game. I've played enough FromSoft to know they were all going to die or worse, but I didn't think I would be the one to kill them. I love how Freyja comes out to fight you in a proper 1v1 for a bit before more NPCs enter the fight. Thought that was a nice touch for her character.

This was my favorite fight in any souls game. The way they seamlessly swap dialogue while trading blows, their final death rites... The music... Technically speaking if the Shaman Village is Marika's home village would that make the Realm of Shadow Numen?
@joeyg1315
3 ай бұрын
@joshp.1682 That's currently in heavy discussion within the community. The Numen could have first settled there in the shaman village, but they might have come from somewhere else to begin with. In one of the early steam news updates for the dlc, the description states, "The Land of Shadow. A place obscured by the Erdtree. Where the goddess Marika first set foot. A land purged in an unsung battle. Set ablaze by Messmer’s flame. It was to this land that Miquella departed. Divesting himself of his flesh, his strength, his lineage. Of all things Golden." This tells us that perhaps Marika came from elsewhere and 'first set foot' in the lands of the shadow, though that's just my interpretation
@skaf2353

@@joshp.1682 Marika was a child at the village at some point and village people were all women (explains black knife assasins being all women) so Numen people were porbably Marikas people that were tormented by the Horsent and some of them lived at the shaman village

I'm actually surprised that Yuka Kitamura did not compose for any of the Rememberance bosses, although, I understand that many of the other composers have been given a bigger role for this DLC as she ends her period working with From Software. Still, I absolutely love how much her style evolved from Dark Souls 2 to this DLC, always giving so much identity to these titles. St. Trina's theme is proof of this given how beautiful it is. I hope to see more of her in the future in new projects.

Tbh, she was never my favourite composer, so I'm not too upset her contribution is minimal, even though I love the 'St. Trina' track. None of her compositions from the series are my favourites. I'm more disappointed that Yoshimi Kudo didn't get to do anything in the DLC, because he wrote two of my favourite tracks from the base game, in Fortissax and Rykard. Miyazawa has come out of this game and the DLC as the absolute main man when it comes to FromSoft music. His compositions are easily the best in the entire game.

Interesting to see Yuka Kitamura credited here. I thought she left the company before production on SOTE fully started. I have to assume they just had these tracks still lying around somewhere, or they hired her as an external contractor this time. Interesting in either case

Where's the soundtrack from the trailer where Melania says "Will you join us?" and that soundtrack kicks in toward the end of the story trailer. Can't find it anywhere ffs. No not twin moon knight or saint of bud, I'm talking about the soundtrack toward the end of the trailer. EDIT: found it. Its promised consort the last 2 mins. The best soundtrack in the whole dlc. Beautifull.
