Postal voting is voting in an election where ballot papers are distributed to electors (and typically returned) by post or in person, in contrast to electors voting in person at a polling station via an EVM system.
Before casting the vote, elector has to make some declarations in Form 13A and must sign on it and got it attested by a Gazetted Officer.
