According to the Rock and Roll Encyclopedia, this album was the start of the major decline in album sales for ELO. Their massive appeal hey-day was over. The foolish general public! The next two albums, Time and Secret Messages were total masterpieces! The masses truly missed out on absolute gems.

I have no idea how people didn't buy this album. Time, in my opinion, is one of the all-time great albums -- there's very few theme albums that work half as well, and even fewer that have _every_ song on them be worth listening to on its own. I can't think of a single song on this album that I wouldn't listen to all the way through to the end.

My reason for discovering the band is quite stupid I'll say. It was from hear the mr blue sky among us meme too many times, and deciding to listen to the whole song. Fell in love with the song. Didn't want to taint my love by listening to more of their music. Watched a video where a guy explains the writing of mr blue sky, and in the video he talks about the rest of the concerto for a rainy day. I decided one day to listen to it. Eventually I moved from listening to thr concerto to listening to the whole album. Then, I listened to a new world record. I bought a new world record on vinyl. Then out of the blue. I Got into some of there more popular songs. I got their first album on vinyl. Then listening to them sprouted into a rabbit whole of 1970s rock and disco. I got into the bee gees, klaatu, and even the beatles later albums from the late 1960s. Then, I started listening to the album this song is off of, and it changed my view of elo. I got it on vinyl too, along with sgt pepper and spirits having flown on unrelated notes. I got their greatest hits record, got a cassette of the classics, and started listening to their new stuff. I've even grown to appreciate balance of power. Anyway the point of all this is to show that some one can relatively naturally come to liking such an underrated band. Oh and the stupid amongbus memes weren't entirely the reason. I had heard mr blue sky on the radio a multitude of times, as well as don't bring me down.

Wikipedia: The Quietus' Joseph Stannard said that Time is a "very good album indeed", highlighting "Twilight" as "the most exciting song ever recorded ... Pulsating, momentous, charged with purpose and overstuffed with hooks, counter-hooks, sub-hooks and semi-hooks, 'Twilight' makes being abducted by time travelers sound like the most fun you can have."

I wish there's a MLP version of the Daicon IV animation. That would be awesome and faithful to the original.

These songs of ELO should be played again in radio, just to make the "current stars" ashamed and make them more humble.

songs like this should be played for any fans of nicki minaj, drake, bhad bhabie, post malone, lil xan, and any other stupid talentless “artists” that are making millions off of their garbage music.

Twilight makes me think of a science fiction film similar to Guardians of the Galaxy, or Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy. It conjures up images of people wearing funny silly 1980s sunglasses shaped like crescent moons and stars and are on a 'space bus' or giant spaceship that serves as a train. It goes way out in space across the galaxies and in and out of dimensions and time warps. It's like the end to a Monty Python comedy movie like Time Bandits.

ELO really made bangers, if I could animate I'd remake the intro of Daicon with *our* Twilight.
