The combination of a laser and a conventional MIG welding while manufacturing EV battery trays makes it possible to minimize the overall deformation. However, after studying assorted designs of battery trays, the following concerns are still present:
1)If the crossmembers have large deformation, the wall between the cover holes and crossmember is thin.
2)Gap between floor and crossmember. Depending on the design leaks or difficulties to apply sealing.
3) Twisted shape - from one side-rail to another
3)High deformation on the junction connection holes (depending on the size and shape)
