Unlike in NZ, where all buses use manually-operated flip ramps, many UK bus operators use electric sliding ramps (and they are on all TfL buses). What makes TfL buses particularly special is that the ramp is located at the rear door, rather than the front.
Electric ramps are designed so that the driver can operate them without leaving their seat. The downside to these ramps is the time they waste as they are very slow, and they are often notorious for getting jammed, which can stop a bus from running altogether if it jams whilst deployed.
