Suppose Mechanical Torque (Tm) is applied on the Generator Rotor in Anti Clockwise Direction. Rotor rotates in the Direction of Applied Torque. In order to apply Fleming's Right Hand Rule, Direction of Motion of Stator Conductor is required. Direction of Rotation of Stator Conductors is Clockwise wrt Rotor.
Applying Fleming's Right Hand Rule, Direction of Induced Current in Stator Conductors is found. Induced Current produces Armature Flux and distorts the Main Flux. Distorted Flux pushes the Top Conductor towards Left Side and Bottom Conductor towards Right Side.
Since Stator Conductors are fixed, opposite Force is applied on Rotor i.e. in Clockwise Direction. Thus Electromagnetic Torque (Te) is produced which opposes the Applied Torque (Tm).
During Transient, soppose Electrical Load increases suddenly, Mechanical System is unable to respond immediately and thus Te becomes greater than Tm and Load Angle increases.
Suppose Electrical Load decreases suddenly, Te becomes less than Tm and Load Angle decreases.
