Been a drummer for over 20 years. Unfortunately haven't had a drum kit for the past 10 and had to play the steering wheel and pedals of my truck while driving. Just ordered the Avatar sd61-6 This device looks like a lot of fun as well! My daughter doesn't understand why my finger and feet are always moving to the beat of every song I ever here. It's impossible to not keep the rhythm once you played the drums. Now I can try and show her maybe get her doing the same thing :-)

@stephenrally2432 0 seconds ago Not sure if it is too late to reply to this or not, but I do like this a lot. It has more features than the Yamaha and I was able to add an external ride cymbal. That said, if I were to do it again, I probably would have upgraded to the Yamaha Dd75, due to the ability to plug and play and the pads are more spread out which makes it more natural to play (exact setup of the DD65). The Avatar is almost TOO compact. Like I said, I do like it and the sounds are nice if you take the time to program and customize.

The Yamaha triggers are all very low output. You need to set the sensitivity on the PD705 to the max and the velocity curve to loud. pads are velocity sensitive, you can't turn it off, but you can turn the sensitivity all the way up which essentially does the same thing.
