Resin is toxic until it is cured! You need to be wearing some gloves while handling the print job and/or the liquid until it is fully cured. Also, do not dispose of the resin washed waste alcohol in the sink or drain (because the resin is still uncured during washing, and therefore still toxic, and should not go into our water supply system).

So I’m getting a printer soon, what is the best way to dispose of the liquid I used to clean. I will mainly be using the water washable resin but insight into both practices and how to dispose would be welcome, thanks 😊

It's amazing how much more detail resin printers can show compared to the filament printers. Will be good seeing what you think of the new models you can print now compared to your old printer
@mfreund15448

They only add the thickness of the liquid vs the diameter of the filament. No impact resistance to resin prints.
@Depl0rable10

@@mfreund15448 no one said resin printers are better in all ways. Just that they have much higher detail compared to FDM, which depending on what you want to print (I.e. DnD minis, models, prototype precision parts) SLA *may* be the correct technology.

But how do you remove the figure from the plate? Any tips?
@dirtgrainsteel
Ай бұрын
What I do is take my build plate lay it on its side and take a stainless steel scraper and put it against the base of what I printed and and just give the scraper a good pop with my hand and knock the figure off the plate do it on a god hard surface like a desk to and maybe lay a towel down to cushion your print so it don't get broken

enjoyed the vid but obviously not a how to or tutorial. Little more refinement with some editing on obvious mistakes made would make this much more watchable and helpful for tutorial purposes. Thanks for the information though. Good starting point.

When does the slicing take part?
@SteveVon7
Жыл бұрын
The "slicing" is the lcd screen at the bottom creating an image that shines UV light in the shape of the image for each layer, which hardens resin only where the image pixels are bright but not where they are dark. Layer after layer, the image on the uv screen hardens the resin as it steps up in fractions of a millimeter

Hi, I'm new to 3D printing and I'm having some serious issues with my printer. None of my prints are coming out. They are not sticking to the plate at all, what am I doing wrong? I've pre-set the plate like a 100 times to make sure it's leveled and still it won't stick. Am I not doing all the steps? What am I skipping, I even contacted Elegoo and they won't help. So right now I have a big paperweight that won't print. Please help me out. Thanks. Ohhh, what I have it's a 1st gen Saturn
