When Cardiff, Wales, had its trolleybus system (regrettably abandoned), the direction at junctions was achieved by the driver either coasting through the frog or powering through and that would set the direction. The system was simple, cheap and effective and was developed by the Chief Engineer Felix Cunuder, who also developed lightweight trolley heads.

I believe they use or at least used the same system in many cities in the world. for sure in Athens.

I'd be screwing that up constantly as a driver. I'd also be forgetting stops and route turns with my head in the clouds.

Vancouver uses the same coast / power to select and there is an arrow on the roadway showing which way is POWER ON

In Wolverhamton, the conductor hopped off the bus and pulled a lever on the post supporting the overhead wires adjacent to the switch.

Zdravím, je k tomuto systému někde nějaké bližší info, např. dosah signálu vysílaný T-busem případně i možnosti nastavení přehazování výhybky?

V případě technických dotazů Vás odkážu na oficiální stránky firmy Elektroline. V sekci kontakty kontaktujte oddělení obchodu a marketingu. Jinak pro rychlou odpověď prozradím,že transciever má schopnost přijímat signál ze vzdálenosti cca. 100m. Ve videu je však vzdálenost antén na vozidle a na vedení max 5m. Důležitý je kuželový tvar vysílaní, aby nedocházelo k interferenci s ostatními přijímači. Možnost nastavení výhybky se řídí buď softwarově dle databáze čísel autobusů a jejich přednastavenými trasami nebo jednoduše signálem doprava/doleva.
