The most important war film ever made. Period. Should be as well known as any of the Hollywood offerings but - alas- it isn't. Not a wasted frame in the entire film. A masterpiece of World Cinema. Unflinching in depicting almist unwatchable horror but "saved" by it's humanity and pathos.

I watch the movie. Study about the story and production of the film and then i watch the oscars and the actors and i look at that 13 year old kid in his first role and im just speechless

@@lermi389 Thanks! Googled it and I think it is simply called 'Khatyn' in english, written by Ales Adamovich.
