You’ve probably already figured it out but the error is in Round 27. On the leading edge of sc stitches you started by slip stitching over one stitch. You have to slip this stitch on every edge. Then you have 15 sc on the right side and 16 sc on the left (far) side.

I believe there's another error at about 46:00 After the front post doubles with a single crochet between, you say to start immediately in the next stitch with 12 sc, then on sc together, which takes you to the arch. I believe you have to skip two stitches, then start your 12 sc, to make it come out right!

no where in round 31 does the pattern say to skip 2 stitches, only 1 stitch at certain points. the position in the pattern you are refering to says: 1 sc in the next 12 st. Sc2tog over the next 2 st (photo 75 1 sc in the next 34 stitches. The last 1 will be in the first st after the last fpdc (photo 76) Sc2tog over the next 2 st. 1 sc in the next 12 st There is no skipping 2 stitches here, so I'm not sure that this is incorrect what I am doing here.

I haven't read the pattern, so I'm not sure what it says. In the video, after you do the front post doubles with singles between, you SAY to start in the very next sc, and do 12 sc, and then a sc2tog. I'm on my 3rd one of these, and in every one, I have too many stitches, I am not at the right place. Plus, if you want it to match the side before you do the front post doubles (where you skip a stitch), the only way I can get it to match, is to skip two stitches before I start the 12 sc and the sc2tog, to make it end at the right place. in other words, to make this end at the right place to start the arch, doing 12 sc, and then sc2tog, you would only have 14 stitches to work in between the front post dc's and the arch, and I have 16 stitches in there. Maybe I've done something wrong on the row before, BUT, if I have, I've done it on every one of these I've done!

I went back and checked the row before (round 30), and you have 15 sc and 1 hdc in that space, making 16 stitches, not 14 stitches. So, in round 31, you are only covering 14 of those stitches, so you need to skip two stitches somewhere, and to my eye, it needs to be after the front post dc's and before the sc! That way it matches on both sides of that part!

The designer has made the arc asymmetric
@barbarashultz
6 жыл бұрын
We seem to be having a communication breakdown, but that's OK. I love your videos and your voice! I understand that the arc is asymmetric; my issue is with the stitches between the arc and the 'corner'. There are 16 stitches in there, on the previous row. When you do 12 sc and one sc2tog, you only are covering 14 of those stitches in the previous row. You can't start on the very first stitch, and end on the last stitch of the previous row of 16 stitches, with only 14 stitches. You have to skip some sc's! To make it look right, I skip those at the beginning of this section. If it works for everyone else, then that's fine!

I havent started this yet (i dont have the money for yarn right now, plus i am working on another project), but i am watching the tutorials because 1. You have such a soothing voice itnis like crochet asmr (sorry if that is weird :|) and 2. I am so in love with this pattern. What yarn weight are you using? I want to start looking for my colors and saving them in cart. Also, when you blocked this at the end ofbpart 2, did you spray block or wet block?

I love ur tutorials, but i will say i get confused when you talk abou stitches, you often talk about certain parts of the stitch when in reality your referring to the previous stitch, so it makes a little confusing.
