I got the elgato chat link, but not the pro. My party could still hear me and my gameplay by plugging both male ends into the elgato and mixamp stream port. No need to plug anything into the female end

Hi boss. Great video mate. Just wondering. I have a crap china alternative for the chat link but I have the elgato one on the way. The crappy one does not work. Does elgato only allow elgato chat link?

Hi my name is William & I have a issue with the chat link pro, I’m trying to capture gameplay and game audio from my Nintendo switch and the gameplay is fine but when I try to capture game audio I get static noise and can only hear my voice & the game audio is static I’ve tried everything and cannot get it to go away. The game audio only picks up static when I use my chat link pro to my Nintendo switch and I’ve tried plugging it in my computer and I still get static can anyone help me?

Hi Zack, quick question. I have just bought the Elgato 4K60S+ and the Chat Link Pro. Can I capture all party chat audio and game chat audio on my PS5, without using another microphone?

I'm pretty sure you have to use a separate mic. So if your using OBS, and want your stream to hear you, yes I'm more than 95% you need a separate mic. The chat link only captures game and party chat volume I think, but it doesn't pic up your mic audio

What I do is that I have VoiceMeeter send my USB mic audio to the Line-Out port on my computer, in addition to the virtual outputs that OBS/Discord/etc get their mic input from. From there, I have a 3.5mm male-to-male audio cable that runs from Line-Out to a ground loop isolator to a Line-Level Audio Adapter into the headset port on the Chat Link. It's the only way I know of for a single-mic solution without the purchase of a physical mixer by making use of your computer's likely unused onboard audio jacks. And the bonus is that it's also a single-headset solution too. I can use whatever PC headset I want (USB/3.5mm/Wireless) without the limitations of just using the Chat Link by itself.
