Good call on that. The reason I actually did the test was when I got the black one and blew into it, I was like this is no good and I told a few of my friends and they were like "its in your head buddy" haha. So I got the high flow one and then did the test with the other two styles that I did. Thanks for the comment brother, and thanks for sticking with me, you have been around for a while. I appreciate that !!!

Thank you for this video, you've sold me on the Elite check valve! Can it be disassembled for cleaning? If not, how do you recommend the valve be cleaned?
@GarageKing
10 ай бұрын
I don't think you can take it apart, Maybe if you twist it, but I think its like a press fit. I would just squirt brake cleaner in it and I think that would do the trick.

I woke this morning and thought I’d diversify my learning... hmm valves. If I remember any lesson during my youth from Maguyver is that you just never know when extra knowledge will come in handy. Hmm.. one way restrictive, élite and embarrassing valves (it’s about airflow not pressure). 💕💭

Can you try damond motorsports check valve 5/8''? Would you recommend this one?
@GarageKing
Жыл бұрын
Hey There, I looked up Damond motorsports check valves and they have a lot of very positive reviews. I can't find information on what type of mechanism is used for flow so I really can't say for certain how well they perform. Based on the reviews they seem good.

@@GarageKing okay. Just got mine in the mail. very stout. It also has a ball I think like the elite engineering
@GarageKing
Жыл бұрын
@@Jfresh55 If it's got the ball that is the good design, much better than the flapper valve.

Curious what it’s CFM would be. I have a potential use for it in water for a prototype. Trying to find the highest flow 1 way valve so I can accommodate it in the cad file
@GarageKing
2 жыл бұрын
Hey Thanks for the comment. When I was doing research I believe the CFM was around 5 for the GM engine with the fixed orifice PCV valve.
@GarageKing

But for the actual max flow that is possible. I guess it would depend on the max amount of pressure.
@RED89P13

Damn it might work I’m trying to picture how fast it could dump let’s say 1 liter. I need something that can cycle as fast as possible it might only be able to get to 5k rpm. I might just need to make an aperture that cycles with the piston. I can’t really go into it but I need full open flow to the diameter of a cylinder ideally or something close.
@GarageKing

@@RED89P13 This is the best one way valve I have found so far. I think the bearing that opens and closes the valve is nylon so with that light weight you should be able to get to 5K.

@@GarageKing cool I’ll just have to do some testing. Been thinking of making a wastegate like a throttle body at the back it might work better for what I’m trying to do.
