I am in the middle of my PPL so not a lot of street cred but letting her go ahead and stall it into an "almost spin" was great. I teach medical students and Residents. They learn the most when they almost mess up.@@LewDixAviation

Great video! When I was a student, I had the same confusion about the ball not being in the cage. I learned that staring at the ball during a power on stall is useless. Now I keep my eyes outside and judge the movement of the nose against either clouds in the distance, or the ground off the edge of the dash. It's the best way to get visual real-time information about yaw during the maneuver.

Sorry for my ignorance, but what do you need to write every time you get an weather report?
@LewDixAviation
4 ай бұрын
Don’t apologise.. it’s a great question. You want to write everything down that you think is important. Winds, visibility, clouds, temperature/dewpoint, altimeter setting, runway in use and any notams that they announce on there 🙌🏻 EFB’s have specific scratchpads for the ATIS with sections for you to write everything in. Makes it simple.
