Saw Elton in 1975 and in 2019. Completely different shows and both incredible.

Arguably the greatest Rock Star of them all as unlikely as it is. Chubby, gap toothed, balding, small in stature....but with talent that makes the devil blush......Saw him MANY x's first time 1971 Nassau Coliseum NY.....first time i Ever smelled Pot. Thank You reg dwight and Elton Hercules JOhn ....so much. and Bernie of course.

3:23 -- watch Kim Bullard... he points to the Kurzweil that he usually uses for the usual synth intro and he motions to Elton that it's not working.

I'm pretty sure that for the intro the master tape is sampled and parts of it is played back on the Kurzweil along with other sounds mixed in. I've seen a video of Guy Babylon playing it and he used 4 keyboards just to do it.

@@20gravedigger11 It's simply too hard to do fully live and back when he performed it in the 70's and 80's playback was used until he started playing the piano. It's an epic intro and David Hentschel, Elton's engineer for the GYBR album played it.

Around 83 in Texas I heard a wreck outside so I go look. A car hit a man on his bike so hard it knocked his shoes off and his shorts to his ankles. I grabbed something from a clothesline to cover his privates. He was not responding the ambulance left slow. I go back in the apartment and this comes on the radio. Greg.
