I took my wife, son, and nearly 7-year-old grandson Miguel to this concert at Petco Park. We had four tickets, which my wife had purchased months before. I decided to drive the four of us (bad decision, Grandpa!) but should've used Uber. My first Elton concert was when I was a San Diego State student and took my girlfriend, Kathy Brown, to it at the Community Concourse in 1971 or 1972. We sat in the nosebleed section. The first time I'd heard Elton was at SDSU's El Conquistador dormitory, where Kathy I dormed, in the cafeteria. "Your Song" was playing. I thought it was worse that the Three Dog Night version I'd heard the year before. Then I started buying Elton John LPs. Oh, my god, what an amazing musician. Fast forward over 50 years, and here's Elton playing at Pecto. I STUPIDLY drove (should have taken Uber) my wife and son and grandson, Miguel, to the concert. My wife had tickets for four. (She is an Elton fan since the first time she saw him. She's gone to many of his concerts, including those in Las Vegas in modern times. Once, she and others in the audience were invited to go onstage with him in Las Vagas!) I saw the LONG lines around the block and told the three to get out of the car and into line. I'd join them (at least, that was the plan). They got in...and I drove around the San Diego "homeless" block for the next three hours! Part of it, of course, was that I could hear the concert as I drove past Petco Park. I finally picked them up. They RAVED about the concert. I got them into the car and we drove home. I LOVE that they were able to experience Elton. I'll keep my 1971 memories.

Looks like you were sitting close which is good but now almost every big act has huge video screens. The shots of the other band members and videos and effects are worth seeing too, why I like sitting back a little. Besides the cheaper seats😉
