You know it was the same for me... that was 18 years ago and I was younger of course... my oldest daughter’s mom left me for another man at the time, she took the baby and used the court system to her advantage. One day I was binging on Rocky movies and I fell asleep on the 5 part and woke up to this song... i went back to court and fought to get my daughter back in my life... well I’m going through it again now... with another woman but at least she doesn’t keep the baby and I apart... I dunno this song played again for some reason and I ready your comment... I’m glad I’m not the only one....

What makes V a decent film is that it gets back to the heart of the story, which is developing characters. I and II were great because you got to know the hearts of both Rocky and Apollo. V gets back to that; his sense of pride and manhood, his need for support from his wife. It was lame saying he couldn't do an endorsement due to old charges, but it helped confirm that he was truly at bottom.

it was the most realistic since the first two, you see this underdog become a hero and now he hits rockbottom, bankrupt and has brain damage which happens in boxing, alot people hated it at the time cause it was a bad closure to the series but now that Rocky Balboa and Creed have been released its more enjoyable cause it sets up those films nicely.

When I first heard this song, I felt instantly connected to it. This song reminds me how much of an uphill struggle my life has been between being bullied and my terrible handwriting, but despite these, I have achieved great things. I want to show these bullies that they can no longer torment me, but also show that the damage they have done to me is irreversible and they cannot fix it, no matter how sorry they are, as they can NEVER by TRULY sorry.
@jalenellis3594

Proud of you my friend and I can definitely connected with this song as well. I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome when I was five, I didn't know about it till a few years ago but I always had this feeling that something was off about me. Throughout the time, I've had to keep my stress and anger under control dealing with bullies, school, this job training program and seven years at a job that pushes me to the brink. Despite all of that, I managed to achieve stuff: I graduated from high school in 2013, survived job corps and work, managed to travel around a lot to other states, attended conventions, connect with new people and meet guests. I don't want to stop there, I'm going to continue to move forward and make the best of things whether it's good or bad.

"You've come full circle, now your home. Without the gold, without the chrome. And this is where you've always been, you've had to lose so you can win!" This is probably the greatest part of the lyrics. The measure of a man is like, we've learned, fought or struggled to get away from the shit that we live in, to change our lives to achieve great things, done a full circle, without the gold and chrome, like it never really mattered, and what did matter is who you really are and your original roots.. be at home... done a full circle, just to arrive back who you've always been!! Great song!!

In my opinion this song would have made more of an impact if it was the last ever rocky film it makes an impact anyway but still it would have made more of an impact if they made this the last film of the rocky series

In the beginning, it was supposed to be like that; Sly had signed up Rocky 5 to be the final one, and everything was carefully crafted to make it the last. Sly initially planned to have Rocky die in the arms of Adrian in the initial script of Rocky 5, but in the end, the producers and fans convinced Stallone to change his mind.

1:50 - 2:10 just gets me on this song.... goosebumps everytime. This will be my funeral song 💯
If you watch closely, the only Rocky movie that’s transitioned to the next using a dissolve is the still frame from the first film. Such a classic.

I'm the biggest Rocky fan, the film inspired me to be an amateur boxer and I've done the steps twice. I love Rocky 5 - to me it's the perfect end to the anthology - come full circle know you're home! It's a good film, I don't care what anyone says. And this song sends shivers down my spine very time...

As Adrian said, rocky you beat all of them with your heart, tommy doesn't have your heart. Tommy didn't he was only after the money, rocky had the heart of a lion that's why he allways won.. brings tears to my eyes everytime I hear this song..
