That is more a rumor than a fact, or can I prove it? Elvis often carry his guitar to school an his teacher thought he was talented but shy. He sang till I waltz again with you by Teresa brewer and after that he was popular for it in school. He was an average student and get many b‘ s and c‘s but I can’t find one source that shows that he failed music in high school. Gladys would not accept it for a long time. She only allowed him to work when his grades were okay and she intervented only one time I know of and I never heard that it was for music. Maybe he made a joke about that but it makes no sense.

Elvis’s maternal great-great-grandmother was a Jewish woman named Nancy Burdine. So Elvis according to Jewish lore was a genuine Jew . The faith is passed through the matrilineal line . Elvis knew this fact and that’s why he always wore a Star of David together with a cross around his neck . A frustrated Jewish soul always lives a life of emotional pain .

According to Elvis and Gladys by Elaine Dundy White Mansell was married to Martha Tackett ! Their children were Melissa, Ida, Jehru and Lucy. Lucy was called Doll and she was the mother of Gladys ! Can you please clear this up ?
@nomih6331
7 ай бұрын
@patriciabautista959 Nancy Burdine’s married a Tackett and was Martha’s mother. Martha married a Mansell and was Octavia’s mother. (Octavia Mansell was usually called “Doll”). Doll married her first cousin (Robert Smith) and she was Gladys’s mother. Gladys married Vernon Presley and she was Elvis’s mother. Matrilineal descent is not Jewish “lore”. It is actual Jewish law. In the case of Elvis, it was passed down from mother to mother to mother to mother to a son (Elvis) . As a male, he could not pass it down to Lisa Marie. Also there must have been baptisms along the way , various Rabbis would have various opinions, Jews have no central authority and we rarely agree on anything. Thank goodness for that.
@jonathansamuel7033

@ nomih6331 With respect it sounds like you are not a practicing Jew because if you were , you would know that there is very little argument over the fundamentals of Jewish practice . These laws are codified in the code of Jewish law ( shulchan aruch ) written in the early 16 th century but codified in one place Jewish practice as formulated in the oral law ( mishna and Talmud ) from 2000 years ago . ( the oral law was transmitted to Moses together with the 5 Books of Moses by G-d on mount Sinai after the Jews were taken out of Egypt 3300 years ago . This oral law was however written down during the Roman persecutions 2000 years ago . ) Again All practicing Jews adhere to these laws substantially in unity whether European or middle eastern . This history lesson is for my Jewish brother / sister . To know the truth . The original article about elvis being Jewish can be found by searching ‘elvis Jewish in Jc ‘ which will bring up article in uk Jewish chronicle reviewing some genealogical research about elvis ‘ antecedents. @ jonathansamuel7033 “With respect?” “ Are you joking? All I did was 1) first of all I agreee with you and also 2) answered the other lady’s question who wanted to know the matrilineal line from Nancy Burdine to Gladys Smith Presley. “As for starting your comment with “With respect” , you could not be anymore disingenuous. You did NOT treat me with any respect whatsoever. 1) I know of all the codified laws you spoke of. All I did was raise the question of how any baptisms of any of these women plus if Elvis were baptized (he was twice) would affect that. In fact, I said I was not sure. I am not you and do not claim to be the almighty authority. I am correct that there is no final authority because even in the most “frum” areas of Brooklyn, there have been violence and street fights right in the streets of Brooklyn over who is right and who is wrong. You managed to sidestep all of those battles. (And by the way, if you are so frum, why are you even here?) 2) You accused me of not being a practicing Jew. I keep a very strict kosher kitchen with two separate sinks. 3) I attend at least two evening minyans per week. (I am sure you disapprove of that, but that is your problem, not mine.) 4) I am in services every Shabbat and for all Chagim. 5) I participate in our Chesed committee and attend as many Torah studies and other adult education as I can. 6) Lastly, my life fell apart on October 7, even someone as “all knowing as you” should show a little rachmones to a fellow Jew. Oh, I forgot. You do not think I count. How about those kids at the music festival? Did they count? How about the non-practicing hostages still in the tunnels, the women hostages literally being raped to death, do they count? How dare you lecture me the way you did. Jonathan Samuel, you are a “Shonda fur de goyim” , and its a pity that your numbers are growing. Unfortunately, KZitem does not have a block button. I will agree to ignore you, please just ignore me anytime in the future. I do not need you to lecture me about what I already have been educated on. I do not need to EVER hear from you again.

Elvis also fathered two other sons who he had affaris with their mothers. He even acknowledge one son and sent money every month to. The other one wasnt acknowledge even though he looked like Elivis and could sing like him. I wonder why they just didnt do the blood test?

At 14:27 you say Elvis would have savoured the burgers at Johnnie's Drive-In.....Elvis was in Memphis by his early teens so no he wouldn't have had one of those awesome burgers.

I found out when I was 17 that Elvis is my 7th cousin on Geneology. I resemble him quite a bit but not as much as Ben and Lisa. But years prior my aunt said we had Cherokee in our blood. I think Morning Dove is my great great, great, great, great, great grandmother or something like that. Makes sense

If you truly researched you would find that the Presley name was not really his name!! I am related to Elvis!! Your facts are untrue!! Try it again! False information about Vernon's side!! Samuel John Warren was Elvis great grandfather! Not any Presley's I know for a fact... only by marriage

Interesting tidbit... one of my good friend's father's Grandfather and EAP's Grandfather were brothers. he has blue eyes also and was in the army and stationed in Germany just like Elvis Aaron but 15yrs later. His last name is Presley. No Mames. He never met Elvis but did see one of his last concerts in Eugene,OR 1977 All because his wife wanted to see EAP. Truth.
