Elvis, the king of rock n roll and always the king of cool. He is so smooth. So sad he didn't live longer, he was the real deal and always so giving.

That's the one thing I truly respect about Elvis Presleys the fact that he served in the United States army and not a single member of the Beatles ever served a single day of service for they're country not a single member whether a former member of the Beatles that's the one thing i have with the king i served my country as a marine during the Iraq war that's something that im proud to have in common with Elvis Presley the king 🪖🇺🇸

Always wondered why girls at stage weren’t losing control….turns out these girls were the regulars “gate girls’. Who for years always stood outside Elvis Los Angeles home… they met him regularly and he gave them tickets for this and get front rows. There’s a KZitem podcast of one girl who had so many stories and pics. He knew them by name. He thoughtfully thought they deserved tickets as they were so loyal.

This is one of my favorite live recordings of Elvis (68 Comeback). Elvis was at his best. He was so handsome here & looked so cool in his black leather. This was an intimate setting with the audience members sitting around him. You could see how relaxed & at ease he was. He had a great voice & could sing anything whether it was ballads, gospel or rock.

Elvis Presley financially helped so many people, most of them anonymously. He was so humble, never wanted to credit for his good deeds. We will never know the extent of his generosity. He was a beautiful man, inside and outside.

OK, I give! You won me over, Sassy! I state, for the record, I am now an Elvis fan! I did not know he had such a sense of humor & I absolutely love it. (When he launches into the parody of Richard Harris''s "MacArthur Park", help me). This is more like a jam session. Then he stands up, "Don't film from the waist down'. The other fellow, "You gonna get arrested"! And he is only 33 here?

I was never a huge fan of Elvis growing up in the 50-60’s, so I don’t remember hearing about this show till about 10 years ago, when I saw it on PBS. This was a different Elvis than I remembered. (Those awful movies he was forced to do) In this segment, he was relaxed, funny and best of all, he was enjoying the hell out of it. Now that it’s on KZitem I’ve watched it many times.

My favorite Elvis footage by far And was a great year for young studs being born 😆 I liked the way he cracks up when he makes mistakes and has them start over. True story, my first record I ever gotten was from my grandmother it was a 45 with All Shook Up one one side and Heartbreak Hotel on the other and I wore it out 😆 And you just calm down and keep your hands to yourself, no grabbing Elvis OH you ladies have your fun!! Much Love ❤ PEACE

Hi Sassy♥ This is the Best Concert for Elvis, close and intimate. If you can believe it, there's a book on this '68 Comeback Special, but nobody showed up for the show and Elvis and director went on the streets and nobody tried to stop him and Elvis was worried that he was forgotten. Elvis was nervous that nobody knew him since he didn't do shows for a while. They had to give the tickets away so they would have a crowd and they got the Best Show Ever♥ Topping it off with the song "If I Can Dream" written by Earl Brown for Elvis for a tribute to Martin Luther King, who was killed a couple of months earlier♥

No one showed up because the Colonel had the responsibility to distribute the tickets and didn’t do it. The shows producer found out and they scrambled the day of to get the audience built. Damn colonel was always trying to sabotage Elvis anytime he showed independence or wanted to explore new options for himself. Sassy, this was the one hour Christmas special broadcast in 1968. If you haven’t seen it, it is a MUST see and available through Amazon, on dvd, etc.
