If I can suggest a song that I think you will appreciate reacting to the 1975 live version of "HURRICANE" by BOB DYLAN. Few got offended in this song (story), some understood but still uncomfortable but you have to consider the context and era of this true story he's talking about. He had guts make a song like that back in the 60's/70s. Considering your other reactions I watched, you are open-minded, free thinker and you actually listen to the lyrics. I'm positive you'll get why and for what he made that song. As for Elvis, he has the smoothest and calming voice. You can feel that he meant what was saying. If you aren't already aware about Pastor Bob Joyce, maybe you could listen to him sing (not reacting necessarely) but just out of curiousity.😉 Truth is often stranger than fiction. who knows, right?

Elvis killed this song - his ability to enact EMOTION from total strangers with his voice alone was revolutionary.

Many could probably write the music but only Elvis could really tell the story! Forever the King 👑

This was not his last song and not his last concert, but he did pass away 4 years after this concert. When this concert was aired, Elvis was suffering with pain and was ill with several medical issues. He was also using large amounts of prescription medications. So, by the time of this concert he really wasn't too long for this world. People always recommend watching his last performance just prior to his death. I remember watching it when I was 9 years old and I didn't recognize him and asked my mother what was wrong with him. I knew he didn't look well, it wasn't just weight gain. When a child can see something is wrong, there is something wrong. I will never watch it again knowing he was on death's door. I enjoyed your reaction to this one.

Bill Bellew did his costumes. Later the Jackson 5 would hire him and then Michael Jackson during his solo career hired him again

BACKGROUND for the SONG: The original French song is entitled "Comme d'habitude" & was composed by Jacques Revaux, Gilles Thibaut & Claude François. The English version (My Way) was written by Paul Anka who re-wrote the original version for Frank Sinatra. Anka changed the lyrics & subtly altered the melodic structure. The original French song has nothing to do w-Paul Anka’s written version as we know it, for the translation of "Comme d'habitude" means something that happens regularly or that isn't surprising. There is a video of the original French version w-English subtitles on the internet. Sinatra’s daughter Nancy said Sinatra did not like the song to the point of hating it. Sinatra said it was "self-serving" but performed it many times anyway. It’s interesting that Sinatra thought it was self-serving since he was extremely spoiled from early childhood to the point of wanting everything his way throughout his life. Elvis sang w-such power & emotion that it could make you cry -- even his upbeat songs were filled w-a lot of emotion. No one put in the amount of emotion into a song like he did.

This song was originally done by Frank Sinatra, but Elvis could cover any song. You need to react to American Trilogy performed in the Aloha From Hawaii Concert. Also the live version of Make The World Go Away which was a live performance in Vegas. Both were great.

As I watched your reaction today I needed to comment. You need to watch him singing my Way live 1977 grand rapids city. You can find it on KZitem. That is his final farewell he would die weeks later that is the one you need to watch because as he sings this a little differently, you can feel that he almost know that the end is near. Thank you and God bless.

I can't watch the '77 performances. This song and Unchained Melody. Just too emotional.
