Hi Cindy. Joe Esposito next to Elvis became his friend in the army in 1958. He was his road manager and a very close friend. Sitting next to Joe is Vernon Presley, Elvis's dad. He probably would have said something to his son about the beaver comment, but Priscilla had left Elvis just two months before this scene was shot ( She left in February of 1972) and so he was basically a single man again, having some fun on the road. His friends are all agreed that he was not a vulgar man in speech but everyone is prone to a bout of locker room talk every so often. He was only human, bless him x

Next to him is Joe Esposito, his Road Manager and close friend - very loyal guy. The 2 in front are Red and Sonny West who are 2 of his bodyguards. They were friends since high azhool. Red saved Elvis from some bullies when they were at school. These guys were dubbed the Memphis Mafia x

My first concert was Elvis here in Detroit, Michigan. (Elvis performed more times in Detroit than any other city during his lifetime.) My mom was a big fan and took me to see him, seats were main floor at Olympia Stadium. I was 9 yrs old and had to stand on my chair to see over all the screaming fans. I'll never forget seeing him, still have my program as well as the ticket stubs from that evening. Great Reaction!

The name of the song is "Promised Land" originally written by Chuck Berry I believe. Joe Esposito was talking to him his road manager. I don't know why they used a voice over to talk in this video explaining the Hawaii concert instead of Elvis' voice himself. The clip below is a Boston news coverage shortly after his death. They mention his planned engagement in Hartford, CT my hometown then and where I was born. This brings me back to when I was a lot younger. Me and my family had just been to an Elvis concert in Hartford, CT, and not long after the roof of the Civic Center building collapsed under the weight of a heavy snowfall, luckily the building was empty at the time. Elvis had scheduled another show in my hometown late the next year, but sadly never made it due to his death in 1977. My dad had a ticket and actually redeemed it for $10. Back then, 10 bucks was about $100 today, and he needed the money as we were not wealthy. Until this day I wish I had kept that ticket for a memento. kzitem.info/news/bejne/qJ2B046OrahqZJw&ab_channel=RegentTheatreVideo

Does Cindy know what Elvis said at 1:55. Her non reaction tells me she didn't know what he meant. He was buried in a beaver slang for pubic hair. And then Cindy said after that he is so cute. That was funny.

@@jeffreiland7463 haha yes but I was born after he died, I loved his movies as a young child so I didn’t have that on my mind 😂 it was like hearing a family member say it… and I’m Irish and catholic so never heard anyone say that 😂

@@MaryA-yf5rh ---- Why do some people think that history began on the day they were born? When you were born is totally irrelevant. Your religion has nothing to do with it, either. I'm pretty sure that Irish Catholics had sex too. .... And here's another big heads-up for ya. ----- Just because you never heard any of your male relatives or friends "say that," doesn't mean it wasn't said.
@MaryA-yf5rh

@@jeffreiland7463 lol I wasn’t saying that but it’s relevant because I never saw ‘this Elvis’ all I saw was the movies which I loved, and before the internet and KZitem where would you see clips like these? I was just being honest and making a bit of a joke of it 🤷♀️

TCB

Has great a singer is Elvis was he was a human being and capable of locker room talk around the boys. I think it’s one of the reasons why he gave up his career because he wasn’t following the path God wanted him to follow. Pretty sure Elvis Presley is now Pastor Bob Joyce. Check him out
