I have a tip for you! There is a seam ripper with a big white rubbery head. You can use that head to rub off the solvy stabilizer that is stuck in tiny places between stitches. It works great.

Why was the batting and the pastel piece sizes changed to 6.5x8.5 from the original 6" square? The extra inches get cut off as waste after trimming the pastel and the batting.

Love the tutorial! You make it entertaining! FYI my machine’s doctor, that’s what I call my mechanic, told me that I should do needle down/ needle up before using the automatic threader. This was after he had to replace the hook on the threader. He said by doing this the needle will be int the proper position for the threader. It is a pain but not having the threader work is a bigger pain!
@PowerToolsWithThread

That's very good advice. It always is helpful to ensure that needle is in the top-most position. Thanks!

I use bent handle embroidery scissors (she showed them in one of her videos) when my duck bill scissors aren't handy (meaning I can't locate them easily!). The key to using them is to be sure the bottom blade is flat side up... like the duck bill is.

@PowerToolsWithThread
4 жыл бұрын
Sweetie, I wish I could help you. What you have is a technology problem. Your little machine is so outdated that it can't read the file formats for the designs the newer machines use. It only reads cards made for the 190 that had to be purchased separately and they were only sold outside of the USA. Any designs that you find now on the internet CAN NOT be used on your machine. I'm so sorry, but please don't waste your money on them.

well I glad I not the only one who makes mistakes, good to learn "fixes". Embroidery Garden is in your town this weekend wish I was there. oh yeah , save all your threads from thread changes and use them to make the a scarf on wss. There is a you tube on how it's done on Applique Corner. The Florianni lady does it. Of course I am behind already...I better go sew something !

Thanks for showing the fix. I didn’t catch the mistake. I’m new embroidery and appliqué. Can you explain why the batting is important? Would it have worked without the batting? My guess is the batting makes it more 3D, rather than flat. Thank you so much. Love, love, love your vids.
