Nest of White Tailed Eagles & 1 eaglet!
One of the five nests of eagles in Kemeri National Park can be watched live. This nesting area has been known since 2019, when the eagles initially occupied an artificial nest built for an osprey in a pine tree, which had already dried up at that time.
Two years later, the new nest of this pair of eagles was found, it is located in a fir tree, in the place of a top cover broken off by snow or wind - in a similar situation as the nest we have been observing for a long time in Durbe, only lower, less than 20 meters above the ground. There is reason to believe that this nest was built already in 2020, when the initially occupied artificial nest in the dry pine was uninhabited. Since 2021, eagles have successfully nested in this nest every year, raising one young twice and two once.
