When Emerson mentioned Arthur towards the end I suddenly got goosebumps…sadly he’s passed now. I follow Emerson’s beautiful, wise and wonderful mum for years now. So lovely to hear from Emerson… what a lovely podcast! Well done to you both, thank you x❤x

Emerson, your music is fabulous. If you ever get to Salt Lake City I’ve been waiting to see Tonic for many years. I came into contact with Tonic about the same time as Vertical Horizon. I love both bands and perform covers at local venues but I would love to see your bands live. I love the lyrics to a big portion of yours and VH’s songs. Such great music. May you continue to have success in your life and your music. There are not many bands around anymore that have your talents as a musician and lyricist., as a player for 50 years and see your talents sincerely. May the Lord bless you with success in all areas of your life. Take care my friend.

Emerson as a writer and Tonic as a band have always been among my favorites as a musician... Its been years since I dreamt John Lennon saying why don't you do a project like this while I was listening to Magical mystery tour...Learning guitar and everything that goes into an album is time consuming and now its like being alive past my expiry date because it all had to happen 30 yrs ago...

Great podcast! Emerson Hart / Tonic were a massive inspiration for us. To this day ‘Head On Straight’ is one of our top 10 favorite albums of all-time. A few years ago we did an acoustic cover of ‘You Wanted More’ cause that’s one we used to play all the time in our teens. Keep up the good work! Wish everyone the best.

Emerson is possibly one of the best songwriters of the last few decades IMO. No ego, no bullshit, no wank, just an awesome ability to write soulful, sincere lyrics, that touch the heart & paint pictures in your mind, complimenting them with melodies that have tons of feel, emotion & passion. He is a true artist with his own recognisable signature, creating absolute masterpieces amongst a plethora of amazing songs! I dig the subtle differences between Tonic & Emerson’s solo material, both being my go to places for different mood releases! Cheers from Australia!

James, I totally agree! I listen to tonic on some days and solo stuff on others depending on my mood. His art of painting a picture with his songs helps me through my days and makes life a little better. Thanks for your comment! Cheers!

I can't believe I'm the first to comment! Thank you for the music over these many years. I re-learned to roller skate because of "Open up your eyes." It's still my go to song when I just want to check out for a few minutes :-) Keep writing music and God Bless!! PS - Phoebee sounds amazing...
