Awesome! Let me know if you want me to take it to a higher grt, I will send it out tomarrow. And you can get a good reference of how it is at this grt, I can go all the way up to 5k

Very good job fixing the sharpening issues with the knife. I agree I thought I would be really impressed with the wave and have knife ready to go right out of pocket. With the way it has to be pulled to work it seems no faster than when I dont have it imo.

I agree its definitely faster but its such a minor difference that Id rather have the ergos, but I can understand why someone counting fractions of a second would want one

Do you deburr at a lower angle than you sharpen?
@NeevesKnives
4 жыл бұрын
No same angle, you want to try to keep your burr as small as possible if possible
@NeevesKnives
4 жыл бұрын
Also if your angle is good your edge is already hitting the stone, so changing angles will just result in a micro bevel so by keeping the same angle it should remove a burr no problem

@@NeevesKnives thank for the feedback... I've struggled with the burr on chisel grinds before... there's a fine line between deburring and creating a V edge that always screws me up.

@@chrisjaskulski8613 sometimes on a chisel grind I will hit the other side with ceramic or a hard stone just for burr removal

That seems like a pretty ordinary mid grade knife....that's a little pricey for me....not that it's too expensive....you just don't get much for the money spent. Seems like they've got their own "Butterfly" tax thing going on. Maybe I'm wrong....

Yeah they are very clear about not caring about fit and finish but that a tough tool is there goal, and they definitely have that down

Come on man, it's a Seax blade, not Wharncliffe. Judging by the colour of your skin, your tribe was likely named after it. Sax-on, the Knife people. And that was the blade shape of the knife they used.
@NeevesKnives

A wharncliff is Seax shape, I guess this is a prominent search shape, so I stand corrected 👊 a wharncliff would have a tapering spine all the way to the edge. Your correct

@@NeevesKnives Truth be told, if you look at the Lomekwi collection, you'll see a Seax in there. And the people making that weren't even the same species as us. Nothing new under the sun as they say - including the Wharncliffe. Reading my original post, I was abrupt. My apologies.
