Husband and I saw James Brown in 1985 in Las Vegas. We were seated across the table from each other right next to the stage (awful seats... you could use the stage as an armrest). J.B. comes out in is slightly too tight pastel suit, hugging his belly, and his pants were unzipped. Husband and I tried to give the universal zip your pants gesture whenever he faced our way. He was 50+ and a little chubby, but he could still move. That mofo did his signature spin, and shit was zipped up when he stopped. Didn't even see him do it!

I saw John Krasinski in “Lend Me a Tenor” on Broadway and he does a great job w/ physical comedy in a farce. At the speech made by the bellhop to the tenor’s wife, I was the only one in the audience who laughed because, at the end of his remarks, I realized I remembered enough of the Italian from my childhood, even though I never spoke it, and caught the gist of his speech. I laughed at his remarks to the tenor’s wife but was the only one who understood the Italian and stifled the very end of my laughter. 🤭 He repeated the speech a second time and took out his earbuds/earphones and the cassette to show he was learning the language from a program. I think it would’ve gotten a bigger laugh the second round if they had used Rosetta Stone instead of Fluenz. Just a thought for the playwright, Ken Ludwig. 😉

I was in a theatre festival in college where several schools came and performed for each other. There was a 3 person mini-play, maybe 15 minutes long, consisting of a married couple and a waiter. The couple accidentally knocked over the candle on the table and EVERY SINGLE person in that theatre (remember we were ALL Theatre Majors) stared at that candle, and the actors who played the couple didn't know what to do so they ignored it. It became A Show About A Candle, and finally the waiter walked out onstage and picked up the candle. He got a standing ovation. From that moment on we all referenced anything that went wrong onstage as "A Show About A..." because when something goes wrong onstage the audience will never see or hear anything else unless you, THE ACTOR, takes care of it.

Unfortunately, the more I see her interviews, the more I dislike her. This was the opportunity to speak about her husband's acting skills and how "excellent" he was in that play. Instead she chooses to share a stupid humiliating story about him. Not the first time either , she likes being the star in the family and "funny" and the sound of her own voice.
