Yup- reminds me of the verse “I’d rather be 80 yr old me than 20 yr old you!” he mentioned to a young up & comer that got outta line. I am so glad they showed coverage of LL Cool J & Pink (& others from that time) happy as hell & getting into the performance. It began & ended perfectly as far as songs used. Coming out with “my name is” got everyone off their ass! And they showed kids rhyming every word right along with him. As a 44 yr old, by the end my ❤ swoll a Lil , I’ll admit it. And damn he’s still handsome too (yea I know,,, that’s the teenage girl that fell for his crazy blonde headed ass comin out 😆😘) but I’m just so grateful for everyone posting this. Thank you ✌️

But once I listened to Eminem he became my top favorite above some country classic legendary singers! Some how I can understand every word he raps. And I sing every song as quick as he can. Love his story. And how he is so humble towards everyone that got him to where he’s at now. He never takes what he has for granted in any way. Probably one of the top 50 humblest people out there! His trajectory over 2+ decades has been incredible to witness. For those who don’t know, here is the condensed version 😂 From his very rough childhood, becoming a teenaged father, to battling underground at the shelter in Detroit, always just trying to get better as a rapper and lyricist, to coming in second at the rap Olympics, then almost immediately after getting signed by Dre right when he got evicted and was technically homeless, to becoming a blazing comet shooting through the sky of rap and giving the world something no one had ever seen before -a hardcore white rapper-, to dropping what was the fastest selling hip hop album of all time, making three classic albums in a row, then becoming the best selling rapper of all time, earning numerous diamond singles AND albums (the most diamond albums in rap history), made an incredible semi autobiographical film that won him an Oscar, earned tons of Grammys, now an Emmy, mourned the shooting death of his best friend and greatest champion Proof, nearly died from an overdose and had to fight hard to get clean and stay clean, had ten consecutive albums debut at number 1 which had never been done before, and most importantly he’s a great father who raised three incredible children, to achieving incredible wealth, respect and iconic legacy, and now in the RRHOF. His is one of the greatest stories in all of music. All he had to overcome to get to THIS moment is simply staggering. And all because he never gave up. He kept fighting and is still fighting to this day. He will never retire, because rap and music is not just something he did or does to get rich. It’s who he is. And, the most incredible thing of all is, that after all his success, he still remains humble. Don’t care what anyone says, he earned this.

I don't care what some people say about Em! I know that, for me personally, Em is a living legend, he is the reason I started listening to Rap. I listened to his songs during my childhood and teens until I got hooked by german Rap, BUT I must say, the genre of german rap I listen to is more in the horrorcore and melancholie genre, and Em is more gangster Rap! The last Album I bought from Em was Encore. I stopped listening to Em years ago, but from time to time I do listen to his music, new and old, and I still love him as a rapper and to be honest Em is also a great singer! Em... you have deserved being added to the rock and roll hall of fame! I'm still a huge fan of yours, even if I don't listen to your music as much as I did, but I still enjoy it none the less, so keep up the great work! You really are the one and only TRUE rap god!

OMG! He was 50 years old and after using up all his energy in a live show, he went through the whole speech without drinking any water. He didn't talk much about himself, but mentioned a lot of names of rappers who influenced him. Eminem is a 90's/early 2000's image, but he is still alive and rapping. It's a miracle that he is still alive and rapping, no one else can duplicate his charisma, his looks, his voice, and he has broken racial barriers with his music. Now he is a humble and truly wonderful man. This living legend should not be missed. If he dies... I imagine this every day. Hip hop will definitely die. He has been a long time admirer and lyricist of pac biggy and others for decades. The younger generation will know him too. I really hope he lives a long life.❤ @eminem 🐐 He may be a billionaire, but he doesn't brag about it, and his videos don't feature wads of cash, supercars, or women with their butts in the air.
