I had a frozen shoulder. The doctor here in Australia said he could not do anything for it. Well i took my kids ice skating in a rink. I fixed my shoulder when i lost my balance, and i stopped myself from falling by slamming the hockey stick into the ice. I felt everything rip in my shoulder. It hurt like hell, but then i noticed that it loosened everything up. I was able to lift my arm over my head. I was able to get back to work as a plasterer.

A few years ago during cancer treatment, I was in a coma for about eight days, and in that small amount of time, I developed a frozen shoulder. It was really an awful thing - so I'm glad to see you help a regular guy solve an unsexy problem (that wasn't meant to sound like a backward compliment - it's a real compliment!) It may not have applied in his case, but I wanted to add for other viewers that if you actually have this problem and don't have the awesome Dr. Beau available, there are good KZitem videos on simple exercises - like creaping your hand up a wall for example - that almost solved all of my problem. A little massage and a little help with the joint like Dr. Beau did here, finished the job. If you start getting a frozen shoulder - jump on it immediately - like now!

You see, the shoulder joint has several muscles attached to it, the most prominent are the posterior, anterior and lateral, plus the rotators. What this guy had is unworking rotators, wich mostly assist in getting your shoulder safe while moving something above your head, and if fucked can prevent you from doing that, but if you can get your hands above your head for whatever reason that doesn’t mean your shoulder muscles wouldn’t be used. Shoulder muscles have the biggest range of motion from all the other muscle groups, basically you use them for everything that includes your arm. If you flex your elbow completely, you’ll notice your complete arm will move too just because of a reflex from the shoulder. What I wanna say is that you can train, use and contract most muscles without having to get them to peak tension, that explains why his shoulders arent black for the lack of oxygen

In Frozen shoulder, the capsule surrounding the tendons ans muscles becomes thicker, inflammed and hard to move. This is usually due to sustained traumas to the shoulder that build up over time. This causes a severe loss of motion and other tissue adhesions within the joint. The hammer motion is breaking up the restricting adhesions, thus restoring some degree of function and range of motion. The stretching will also help align tissue and restore range. There are multiple effects to this, but adhesion breakdown is critical.
@arch1028
6 жыл бұрын
mylovelyman2 do you know how to prevent this , by just not putting a lot of stress on yours joints? Or another way?
@mylovelyman2
6 жыл бұрын
Arch Yes, frozen shoulder often results from heavy strain trauma or RSI. Stetching, good posture and biomechanics will all help to avoid this injury. Altough surgery can be fairly easily avoided. Check out intramuscular stimulation for a highly effective modility of treatment. Ref: Dr Chan Gunn. IMS ISTOP institute.

B 4 The guy somehow hurt is shoulder, which causes your body to inflame and start depositing Calcium into it. Normally people start moving there muscles after the inflammation is gone, but some feel it to difficult which causes the calcium to harder further. Basically this guy broken the Calcium within the muscles to allow increased blood flow and regain movement
@REEFBLUENOTCH
6 жыл бұрын
*mylovelyman2* ...you're right, yet this "breaking down" and all else that accompanies it, generally doesn't "fix" the situation in a quick, one time visit. Muscles then need to be retrained as well as the mind. I had recently seen an individual who, while not having been able to raise both arms up over his head for however long, when fixed, when he raised the one arm up above his head to simply touch the other hand, the hand couldn't be found...he was missing it by 7-8" due to the muscle memory loss and what his mind had been telling him for that long. I can see merit in what this doctor did, and quite frankly, would like to know if there's a doctor in my area that could replicate this. I have the same issue as this guy as far as ROM, but don't know if a chiropractor, or massage therapist, or bone doctor, or just who to go to. I'm sure they all will say they can fix it :)

This Dr is a great for model for Health & Wellness, he stays in good shape, bubly personality and obviously is effective with his practice. However, it's sad knowing/seeing how many people brush off their health, excess fat gain, immobile with simple movements. It's challenging staying on top of your health but it's WORTH IT!

I'm 28 and already have had a shoulder replacement. My shoulder has been "frozen" since I was 20..i honestly hope something out there can help me get my range of motion back. My left arm only had 50-60% motion when raised up. I'm tired of living with this and only thinking I have no hope

The best part is the rolling pin under the shoulder. That really relaxes the shoulder off. I had so much tenderness back there. It really works.

Andy Lugo if he's doing anything, I'd imagine is putting the shoulder back in alignment. Probably a shoulder socket mishap years ago.
