authentic 50's Do-whap, as a retro Hommage to the by gone era- not over produced, well arranged without synth or hype- difficult if done in the 80's because that old style had to be "studied" ... thanks

No, this was recorded in 1990 as a bonus cut for Doo-Wopp On Your Dial. The flip side of this is Echo '90 from the same album.

Echo '90 by The Emotions was a great recording as well, in my opinion. Unfortunately, I think that the dance beat (most likely from a synthesizer) was probably too "modern" for the Doo-Wop crowd, but also a little too cheesy sounding for the 90's generation, leaving the song with virtually no target audience and no station that would play it. I think a re-recording without an added dance beat would have been more well received. I still really enjoy that record though, and this song is good too!

Well, The Emotions go back to the early 60's, if not into the 50's. The A-side of this record is Echo '90, which is a synthesized waste of time in my opinion. I know what they were going for, but it just didn't work. This side, however, is excellent
