I have dual empis on my 2332 and they work pretty well! Everyone keeps saying they don't like them but I've found that if you keep the jets clear then everything goes pretty smooth!

Also you will probably have to play with the jetting size depending on how big your motor is/seasonal weather conditions 👌

Awesome video great info. I've been wondering about carbs and everybody keeps saying if it's not German made stay away. I think I'll try this empi first due to budget reasons

Have you checked the idle adjustment screw? Maybe just needs to be turned out a little.

I put this exact carb on my stock 1966 single port 1300 but since then it has been backfiring through the carb, especially when cold. I will try your suggestion of changing the jetting. Hope that helps!

And also adjust the choke looser than what they put it we put the carb on the bus and it runs absolutely perfect after we set the jetting

By the way I don't think backfiring through the carb sounds like a carburetor problem usually that's something else check your valves for adjustment make sure your points and condenser are good and if it keeps doing it you might have an issue with valve wear

I put a 34 pict on my 1600 dual port and have been fouling my plugs. Do you adjust the carb out of the box? Or would this be a jetting issue?

I totally rejet the carb out of the box . gotta have a jet sizing tool too.

Try setting main at 130 at sea level, air correction jet 160, if richer 180, if leaner 140. Idle jet Is fine at 55. The jet behind the brass plug will depend on the the main jet and air correction jet sizes, try the richer one 47.5, avoid 40, too lean for cars at sea level
