Thanks. I think I may have all sorts of nerve compressions and your video has helped enormously as I really find this test very painful. I've been "lied" to by a number of doctors in the UK NHS where they seem to spend all their time telling you you are all right when you are in agony. I've an appointment with a neurologist (been waiting months and it's still another month away ..... I guess it's what "free" medical treatment leads to) and I'll have a better idea of what to say and what to ask ..... having looked at lots more articles on nerve compression as a result of this. So once again, many thanks.

Hi Khalid, thank you so much for your amazing demo's... I was just wondering...in our school we are studying from Magee...there he describes a 2-step process to this test: he states to abduct (patient) and resist (therapist) from neutral first...and then to move to scaption and internally rotate as you indicate in the video... Is this correct ? thank you!

Empty and full cane both for supraspinatus muscle or tendon?

Theoretically yes! Although in practice I’m not sure you can say that it wouldn’t be impacted if there was a subscap or an Infraspinatus tear for example
