My only question is, why not run a 7 in dart bailer? Seems like those dump bailers are a mess. And i thought i noticed the rig in the medium stroke. I ran like that for year's. When i changed stroke to the long stroke i found it made drilling mud more efficiently and i had less sticking in the hole. I do really like to see a cable tool driller doing big boy shit with the old spudders. Good job and keep up the hard work. 💪 from Kansas

7 inch dart valve would be great when drilling 8 or 10 inch well and what we would use for that size well. We are drilling 16 inch. Dart valves are typically longer bailers, running a 12 inch dart valve would be heavy to deal with. A 12 inch mud dump door opens up more to allow big chunks of clay in. Removes mostly just mud from the bottom of the hole because ours are short. We are so use to mud dump bailers when drilling big holes . Handling them is a non issue. And we always dig a mud pit to dump into. In this case the ground has alot of slope. We would like to use the longer stroke. the hole the pin goes into been trashed by owners before us from not keeping it tight. But at same time, clay can get so sticky that the shorter stroke helps with pulling power when sticks at bottom of hole. We need a bigger rig ! But support for parts for bigger rigs are the thing of the past for cable tool rigs it seems. Hope that answers your questions .
