Hey there! your comment resonates so much. Listen to NONE of the negatives. People are negative because they havent resolved their own unhappiness with being a rat in a cage. Im approaching 42 and am consumed with regrets for not just taking a chance "outside the norm" and living free when I was young enough and able. Dont be like me. Live. Live. Live. sounds awesome? TRY IT. there is plenty of time to join back with the rest of the sheeple if it doesnt work out or it isnt for you. But live first for your dreams. Older and wiser I may be, my dreams have been replaced with different loves but tinged with regret for not at least experiencing life outside "1984". Its a one way ride. LIVE. I wish you luck!

The way he uses old, salvaged materials and repurposed them into something new is really awesome. The way he enjoys the whole process is so familiar to me and I hope he'll never run out of inspiration and that spark and love he has for building homes that are acctualy pieces of art. I've watched hundreds of tiny homes episodes where people were talking about the build and materials they used, the size and what it meant for them to move into such small space, which is obviously important, but none of them were so artisticly spirited. It was a pure pleasure to watch him being so involved and so happy with the outcome.

I really appreciate you sharing these magical experiences, you’re so right when you say their not just homes but works of art, and I am still blown away about the costs involved! My gosh, if we all stopped to actually appreciate nature and become apart of it in our own magical way, maybe then the world’s “rat race” would finally stop! Thank you so much Bryce, please keep sharing your findings xx 🌿

Yeah that was awesome. I loved hearing the builder's excited explanations about how he crafted the goth-like roof and squeezed all he could into the 200 square meters to avoid permits. Just so intelligent. Keep these videos going

It's amazing what people can do with just their hands and their minds. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us :)

The Pacific Northwest has always called to me, I never knew this was part of my heart song! That moss covered roof-the haven perfectly positioned within the trees as if it has always been there, belongs there. It is an actual dream within reach-My Husband is a craftsman and hails from the Big Woods of Wisconsin....we can do this- WE WILL DO THIS!!! Thank you for the inspiration and stoking the fire 🔥 that has burned for so long, my desire to live THERE, and like THAT! ☺️

Wait, the deal was "you build it and you can use it for two years"? That's the worst deal ever, he literally built a house for free for somebody else.

@@TheLunablackheart Yes. It’s his choice though. Sadly, artists are not treated with respect here in the States. The cool thing is that while he’s building he also gets to live there, for FREE. Even if he pays for some of the materials, he’s getting a great bargain.

@@09selah I don't think I would call it a great bargain, but each to their own. I think he should've gotten paid for his work, and then get his own property somewhere and then build his own tiny house he can live in forever

@@slaveNo-4028 It’s possible that he’s worked that out. I’ve seen a few videos of his tiny homes. Maybe they wanted to wait to see how it turned out before making a deal for land. Who knows..

Wow, Jacob's front porch cabin is delightful. When I was a child, my Sister and I use to build forts using materials we found discarded from newly constructed homes in the Las Vegas desert back in the early 80's. We had a girls only club and our fort was so strong that we even had a second floor you could access thru a small hole in the main floor ceiling. Best memories we created with friends back in the day you stayed outside all day until the sunset. I'm so comfortable in tiny spaces. Now I want to build a Fairie Greenhouse in my backyard as this video has given me the inspiration. 💌🏡🌵🌴🌿🍃🎋🔮💚🌈🌺🕊🐝🦎

I love when people used reclaimed/recycled materials to build, it has a different type of 'charm' to it. My campervan interior is made of 99% recycled material, sure it has melamine and 'fake' wooden parts in it, but I didn't buy it, the only things I bought was the foam and fabric for the seats. Saved a ton of money doing it, and it has a strange sense of accomplishment that it's mostly natural parts :P
@livingbig

That's very true. I think using reclaimed materials sparks a lot of creativity. You need to work with what you have available to you, which can change a design dramatically.
@TheNakamori

Definitely! I got my cupboard doors from a guesthouse that had replaced theirs and built a cooker/sink combo to suit. Counter tops were from the same place, melamine siding was found in a skip and the 'wooden' ( Fake-wood looking' flooring was from a family friend) that lined the living area of my camper. Other than a couple of essential parts for the vehicle, it's cost me sub

Simply fantastic. Great craftsmanship. The roof alone is a work of absolute art. I love the idea that he has recycled so many different timbers and brought them back to the forest to retire them in a luxurious setting, such poetic harmony.
