Very Depressing place to work most Coal strip mines are. 😩 especially if you’re down in a hole trying to dig the Shale off the Coal..!! 😱😵 I never did find the Lime Rock Quarries in South Florida to be Near as Bad. Most always a Breeze blowing and Something to look at. Plus digging in the water 55 feet deep means there is Always a Lake next to you. 👍😎✅

I trucked coal out of pa strip mines in the 80’s. I got to see alot of cool stuff from blasting to them uncovering old mine tunnels.One particular strip in Indiana county pa i was hauling out of that had deep mine passages throughout it.They recoverd a old coal wagon that was probably pulled by mules out of the mine lots of timbers and rail also.It was donated to a museum of coal mine history.
