It's delusional to think adversity won't be part of your future.
It's only a matter of when a challenge will present itself in your future.
That challenge doesn't have to ruin your life or cause massive shock to it and others.
Committing to training your mind and body today is about experiencing what you want tomorrow: the ability to endure, adapt, regulate, and overcome obstacles.
Most people avoid their minds and avoid improving their bodies.
This is evident from the increase in stress, burnout, obesity, cardiovascular issues, suicide, substance abuse, and cancer.
We are capable of improving ourselves, inside and out.
Far too many people avoid doing the work and either wait to react to a situation or look for a hack to fix their problems.
They're lying to themselves.
I know this because I once lied to myself in this manner, and it almost cost me my life.
I stand for the belief that our reality is a manifestation of our choices:
- thoughts
- food choices
- sleep & exercise
- relationships w/ self & others.
I stand for self empowerment.
It's these choices that either create a life of suffering or a life of growth.
P.S. There is no right or wrong; there is just the reality of the results we get from the actions we take.
