I was at the 1991 Concert in Salt Lake City for their “Razor’s Edge” tour, where three people were crushed to death. It was at the Salt Palace Arena, where I think was one of the best indoor arenas for Rock, extremely loud, it has been since torn down. I had general admission tickets. Which meant you were on the floor, with dress, and upper dress above. That venue had always been chair seating on the floor, but at Hard Rock concerts, once concerts began people would jump the rail on to the floor and fill the isles between rows of seats. It was common to stand on your chair to view the stage. Thus became a problem and unfair to ticket holders on the floor. So they got rid of the seats and sold general admission. At that concert, when Thunderstruck started up (opening song) every one rushed the stage. I was in the middle front. I remember being forced around like a wave of people. I don’t care how strong you are. You go wherever you are being pushed. This happened throughout the concert. I guess those crushed were up front. High top shoes were part of the rocker ensemble, I had some Avias with two separate colored laces. When untied, the laces are 20 inches long, so you would wrap the laces around the top of the shoe, then tie your bow. Well I remember my laces on one of my shoes come undone. Because we were all being pushed around like a wave, you were pressed against everyone around you. Well, my laces were getting stepped in while we’re all being pushed around, and it was causing me to be forced to the ground. I made s decision to kick off my shoe if it gets hairy. I never did have to, and at one point they the stopped the concert briefly, and s gap formed enough for me to fix my shoes. I literally thought I was gonna be trampled underfoot because of my damn laces. There were 4000 arena floor ticket holders. It wasn’t until the next morning, that I heard about the two 14 year old boys killed and the 19 year old girl who was taken off life support a few days later. The next rock concert I went to, they had three big circles on the floor that had a bouncer in each one. They were elevated enough to manage the crowd. Not long after that, concerts were held in the event center, an adjacent facility where they had car shows. By the time they built the Delta Center, metal was almost phased out by grunge and rap. The girly hair bands I’d what killed the movement. You know, when band members looked to much like chicks.

Ah my rebellious youth, nearly an anthem then to us. Nearing 60 now I still feel the same when I hear this song. Class of 85.

Please don't wait 6 months before doing AC/DC again... you are missing out on waaaaaaaaaaaay more bigger hits. Never known a band other than Queen to have SO MANY huge songs

I just went back and watched your first reaction ever to Thunderstruck and I was cracking UP at how you were absolutely NOT gonna like it. Haha! Look at you now. As a lover of music of all kinds of genres and types, I'm so proud of how well-rounded you've become in really a short period of time. You have opened your mind to things you'd have never even thought of a few years ago and that is really wonderful.

I saw AC/DC in Portland Maine in 1986 as part of their who made who tour. One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen, I was 18 then and rocking hard. This brings back a lot of good memories.

it´s AC/DC simple riffs, simple music, simple tunes it is that simplicity paired with a catchy sound which is the perfect formula for perfect music from a perfect band. Go to a bar and run an AC/DC song and look at the people - not everyone is a fan but for some odd reason they all catch on and nod their heads. I always say "no one can sit still when AC/DC is on"

So I'm 52 years old I'm white and I grew up watching this band. I have been watching your reactions to all of their songs and honestly I think it's fucking great. I love the fact that you're younger and I'm guessing of some sort of mixed race. I love the fact that you can appreciate old school rock and roll. Dude you're so much fun to watch that you love Angus. Oh and my girl I love watching you react to watching Angus it makes me smile. But you really seem to appreciate the music and I love that. Rock on you 2 there's a lot of them for you to examine

This was one of the first AC/DC music videos to make it on MTV back in 1986... AC/DC was not selling too many records in 1985; they were still playing arenas and headlining festivals... but their 1985 album 'Fly on the wall' only sold a half million copies in the US. They were also targeted by the religious right groups and the PMRC for "obscenity" ... and even the press, when serial killer Richard Ramirez had accidently left an 'AC/DC' hat at a murder scene. He was later arrested, but the press linked AC/DC as his inspiration (without any proof)... Malcolm Young (guitar) later remarked, "This is crazy. Why are we linked?" AC/DC had a song in 1979 called "Night prowler" and the press claimed that it was the inspiration for the 'night stalker' Richard Ramirez... Malcolm Young clarified, "It's about things we used to do as kids, like sneak in through your girlfriend's window while her parents were asleep." In 1986, Stephen King had a movie coming out called "Maximum Overdrive"... he wanted AC/DC to contribute to the soundtrack... So, AC/DC completed 2 instrumental and 1 song "Who made who" ... but did not want to be associated w/ the movie (which bombed at the box office, sadly) ... AC/DC released a collection of classic songs w/ the 3 new tracks as the soundtrack album 'Who made who' in 1986... This music video was shot and became a hit on MTV, and AC/DC was cool again! With sales of 'Who made who' going past platinum, AC/DC also shot a music video for 'You shook me all night long' (originally from 'Back in Black'... but included on 'Who made who') and it was another MTV hit (Malcolm Young also dressed in Angus Young's schoolboy uniform in the music video) . That renewed interest in AC/DC also gave the band a platinum album in 1988 - 'Blow up your video'... AC/DC had a hugely successful tour, but Malcolm Young (guitar) took a break because of his alcoholism, and their nephew Stevie Young (who would replace Malcolm in 2013) played guitar on that tour.

The thing about AC/DC is that they are always 200% Rocking in your face, high energy. AC/DC doesn't believe in cool-down songs, every song they put in the 200% and make that 1 song a performance in itself. I've never really seen another band do it like that, that's why they are Legends!
