the thing about ENFP is that if you're not an ENFP you don't know me, you think you do, but you do not. What you know me as is the person who plays off your emotions and has pleasant conversation based on how you are currently feeling and your choice of words. I can be that person, but that person is not me.

+Tal Kynman As a matter of fact, I don't think I know you at all. I think I know what the abstract model does, and I am very interested in that, but I am only mildly interested in actual people. Certainly I don't care enough to presume to know that about which I care too little to try to know.

Is it weird that I cried watching this? Finally, a person that doesn't only see chirpy rainbows and sunshine, nor idealize ENFPs! Thank you for trying to understand the conflicted mess of ENFPs. It feels realy great to have someone who actually bothers to look beyond the curtain :) I'm still not convinced on the last parts though, I could see you were struggling trying to come up with our positive traits, and that's okay. You don't have to solve our craziness, just sympathizing and honestly trying to know us is more than enough. We trully are a conflicted bundle of mess! But yes, we ENFPs do also love tying to understand the way ENTPs think and can sympathize with them. I remembered my ENTP friend made an INFJ friend cried because of his inability to understand social cues, yet when I lectured him to be more sensitive and approachable, he told me, "Is that so? I just don't understand why she would react like that." You guys just honestly don't count emotions as a variable and don't understand how it works, yet many perceive that as being cold and mean 😆

I'm an ENFP, am not loud, and don't like being around loud people. I also love my quiet time and introspection. ☺ As a child, I didn't share common interests with my peers and had only a few friends. I've since learned to better assimilate in society when necessary. Otherwise, I'm now content with being peculiar and in my own little world. ☺

Yeah, ENFP here. I always watched the way kids mistreated each other as a child, and did not want to join in their "fun". So I had very good close friends, but usually, I befriended the misfits, or kids that everyone picked on. I can't assimilate either. Whenever I move, I can sense the core values of the new place, I try at first to change, then I become pissed, because ultimately I fail at changing, and then I don't even try, because I resent losing my own identity. But, it took me years to realise what was going on. Why I couldn't just fit in. I don't offend or act foolish, but I can't be bothered with how others view me. I know I am being real when a certain percentage of people just don't like me. That still hurts, but it would be worse, to sell my soul to then be rejected anyway. So, I just be myself, look at the reaction of others indirectly, and if I sense some postiviity, then I will interact. I can be the chameleon, but only if I am trying to register my car, or get something I need. Then I can be smooth. But, if I keep it up too long, then I expose myself, and others can see through it, or at least I feel they can. Because I am not being authentic to myself. So the conflicts are there. Always

ENFP here, Thank you so much. I have been in a real dark place for a couple of years, I've always felt very ashamed of myself because I'm impractical, unreliable, loud, and hyper. Whenever I see a video about ENFP's it often feels like our weaknesses outweigh our strengths, I actually even made a reddit thread about why being an ENFP is the worst to be aha. I always felt like I was annoying or a burden on people and so I decided I would dedicate a large portion of my time to understanding myself and self-growth, and hence why I stumbled upon jung and the MBTI and its variations. It has all helped so much and then I stumbled upon this video and it really actually made me feel appreciated and valued for once. So thank you massively :)

My sister's ENFP I believe, and she's supposed to be my supervisor according to socionics I guess (I'm ISFP). I can definitively see that disruptive Ne in her that you talk about, because I'm not usually easily pushed out of my emotional balance, but she knows how to push my buttons in most creative ways, for whatever purpose. Sometimes I think she does it just because she can, which then I interpret as being totally evil. I will now look at it as: "Ok, that's just your dominant mischievous Ne I guess. No need to get emotional." See how MBTI helps people! :)

This video was very refreshing to me. Coming from an ENFP. I have rarely come across an ENTP who understands the storms going through ENFP's heads. But I suppose sharing Ne helps you with that since Fi is very private. It's seldom that people recognize the kind of conflicting emotions/thoughts (Fi + Te)we have and just label us as complicated or high strung.

Personally I think it's because other people that want to look at their own s*** as well people don't understand that when you're telling them that you need to be understood differently is in another way saying I need to be loved the better and understood more. +Barbara Johnson I hope you find that person. I too have a desire for a partner, though it's weakening. It's the person to report to. That's the part one misses. The spiritual teammate, who rides the ride with you, up and down. The sense of having a place to deposit one's achievements and failures and worries and hopes... On the other hand, being alone affords me a freedom I never knew I desperately missed. Not to play around with chicks kind of freedom, I just mean, not beholden to all the expectations that go along with marriage.

+Talking with Famous People INFJ's are supposed to be the ideal type for ENFPs - and lo and behold, everyone I have ever dated has been an INFJ - but it can be so hard! I want to dive right in, head first, all the emotion, all the affection, all the ecstasy and passion, but they are very slow and can't let you in for quite a while. I usually end up getting the "I'm afraid you're going to get hurt." I'm becoming aware of this, but who knows if I'll really stay aware of it when I'm in all of it - caught up in emotions and all.
@Talkingwithfamouspeople
8 жыл бұрын
"who know if I can stay aware..." It's a trick question. We can't win either way. If we stay aware it's not fun anymore. We want a state of flow, it's the only state in which "satisfaction" does not elude us, although we can't really say it is ever attained.

I would like to ask for your terms for each of the other four functions NI, FE,TI, and SE...hey, that's me...an INFJ. Thanks for your input, Carolyn P.S. - I have heard you talk about people who are conflicted in time, and those who are conflicted in space Perhaps the topic of being conflicted/unconflicted (for the different types) could be an interesting idea for one of your videos, if you have not done one focusing specifically on that already, Thanks again.

Hey thank you for this video! ENFP here :) My ex is a lovely ENTP. I can say that we are compatible in many ways. Especially because ENFPs tend to switch to a Thinking mode sometimes while discussing theories. The only thing I would say can make a big problem is the emotion part. You guys do understand us and give us support but I would say that you sometimes say things that hurt us (because you are just speaking the truth and forgetting that we have emotional reaction to your every sentence) and we get too emotional about it so I feel that kind of thing drifted us apart. We are still good friends but I am not sure that this can be neglected as a fact regarding relationships between ENFP and ENTP. What are your thoughts about it? Thanks again!
