samarth Raval I’m older. Loved his coach Kim taek soo. RSM seemed to lose to his chinese penhold rivals. Exception...his Olympic win. It could be argued Wang Hao beat himself though. Always loved the way he overpowered the Europeans of the day. Hope the style makes a resurgence.

@@injuredtabletennisplayer1474 If RSM had played in the 38mm era he would have been more dominant.Kim's serve wasn't a weapon,which is ironic considering he invented the reverse pendulum serve.

so drive in this case actually means loop right? u cant just drive or smash a short underspin ball

generally speaking koreans call topspin attacks "drive", they tend to call spinny-relatively-slow topspins "loop drive"

@@mortuc1 You can topspin drive and topspin loop. Loop is farther from the table and you create a higher arc, while drive is closer to the table and it is more flat. Although the technique still requires you to draw a circle.
