Thank you so much for the appreciation. 🥰 I think Quest Hotel is one of the more affordable hotels in Tagaytay. If you love spacious rooms, you'll surely love their suite rooms at an affordable price tag. 😊

Wow, Baby Hercules is looking so strong; just watching him trying to stand on his legs. He is making great-great progress :) That is a great price for any suite in my humble opinion. And I smile whenever I see a bathtub in any hotel room. BTW, it would be interesting to learn what you packed for Baby Hercules for this trip, and if you guys actually used everything that you brought along for him. Also, was there any stuff that you wished you had brought to make your lives even easier? Great informative video again, guys. Cheers!

Baby Hercules loves standing up--with support from us for now. 😊 I love how spacious the junior suite was. And this hotel is actually one of the more affordable ones in Tagaytay. I liked it way better than The Lake Hotel, where we stayed last year--not to mention that Quest is cheaper. I actually made a video on the things to pack when travelling with a baby. Hoping to find some free time to edit it soon. 🥰 But my one key takeaway was it was harder for me to bathe our baby in the hotel's bathtub vs on the floor (with our portable baby bathtub with us). 😆

@@sandrassamaniego Oh great, looking forward to that video so I can compare notes. And may I ask, how did the ambiance of the hotel compare to the others that you stayed at in Tagaytay?

@@JohnSmith-bz9be@JohnSmith-bz9be My recent stay was only with The Lake Hotel so I can only compare the two. The Lake Hotel feels dated (and is actually dated). I didn't appreciate back then that the elevator was not working during our entire stay and that several things in the room need repair (shower heater, window, mirror, lights, etc). The room also felt cramped. All these for a more expensive price tag. Quest Hotel, on the other hand, feels more modern. The hotel looks smaller (smaller lobby, smaller resto) but the rooms are definitely huge and spacious. Inside the room, it feels homey (given there's a separate living area for the suite rooms). The bed feels more comfortable too + the bathtub--all these for less than $80 for a weekday rate.

@@sandrassamaniego Cheers for explaining. You guys made a great choice :)
BTW, besides buying superhero swimsuits for the kids, we also buy from a kiddie swim range over here in the UK, "Splash About", and is top quality and they also do cool/useful accessories. Well, my family stayed at one hotel in Manila where it had an indoor pool which was super-duper cold. I think the coldest ever for the family, and even my wife fell ill the next day. So I was tasked to look for therma-suits (which can be worn wet or dry like a base layer as well) just in case they faced another iceberg-like swimming pool or in the pool for an extended period-of-time, like doing swimming lessons. But a word of caution; please never use therma-suits in heated swimming pools over a certain temperature/never in hot tubs or jacuzzis.

I actually saw some thermasuits online when I was looking for baby floaters. I didn't actually understand how they work until you explained it now. Until what age did your baby use the therma-suit? What will happen if therma-suit is used in jacuzzis or heated pools?

@@sandrassamaniego They are like onesies (covers arms & legs) that can be used from about 3 months old - up to 6 years old, so plenty of size options. Plus there is an adult option which is like a terno (top & shorts) and each sold separately. You can wear these under wet suits to go scuba diving so can easily withstand the cold depths. Or if you are out hiking somewhere very chilly. If they are worn in heated pools or jacuzzis they will increase your body temperature and they could cause overheating. Wetsuits work by trapping water between your skin and then the wetsuit keeps you warm. But with different/better material now in therma-suits to protect you even further from the very cold, it will make you more comfortable in any/most freezing cold pools. We just have them as back-up if the pool is super-cold, so they can change and then go back to having fun

@@JohnSmith-bz9be Great idea. Now we have a work around if heated pool is not available in Tagaytay. Thank you for explaining. I'll check that out for our baby 🥰

At the start of this video, I noticed your little angel trying to look for the person or face of the person his mom and dad are talking with. Pretty soon, he will be aware that his parents are talking to the camera. An interesting video about Tagaytay Quest Hotel; hope to visit there someday.

Philippine videos use the word staycation instead of vacation. The word staycation came about during covid when folks were not allowed to travel, so they spent their vacation at home. (A staycation (a portmanteau of "stay" and "vacation"), or holistay (a portmanteau of "holiday" and "stay"), is a period in which an individual or family stays home and participates in leisure activities within day trip distance of their home and does not require overnight accommodation.) Vacation is the proper term.

Thank you for pointing that out. I think that word was given a new meaning in the Philippines -- check in at a hotel or airbnb and just stay there.
