For decades, NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and its facilities have played critical roles in the agency’s human spaceflight missions. Artemis I will be the first integrated test of NASA’s Orion spacecraft, Space Launch System rocket and exploration ground systems. The first in a series of increasingly complex missions, the uncrewed Orion spacecraft will travel farther than any spacecraft built for humans has ever flown before returning to Earth.
