The England Junior Talent Pathway is an event open to youngsters from all around the country to come and learn from top international anglers and test their skills against their peers. At stake are places in the England Junior Shore Angling Team and the opportunity to gather international match fishing experience, improve skills and progress into the more senior levels.
The 2022 Talent Pathway was held over two days on the 30th and 31st of July. The first day was based in the classroom at Lymington & District Sea Fishing Club where the young anglers learnt from former World Senior Shore Champion Chris Clark, former World Junior Shore Champion Callum Graham and England Team Managers David Graham and Paul Driver. The second day consisted of a bait-supplied match fished on Milford Shingle Bank in testing conditions. This gave the youngsters the perfect chance to show their ability to adapt and stay focused under pressure and they didn't disappoint!
