I watched this when it was first transmitted in the early 90s with my younger siblings (who were in their early teens at the time; I was in my late teens). The next day, we had to take a bus journey into town and we got a lot of strange looks from the other passengers as we kept screeching "Tree!" and pointing out of the window before giggling our heads off. I'm sure they all thought we'd taken something illegal :)

For space travelling aliens, they sure dont grasp new concepts very fast, their society must be millions of years old.

One of the funniest set of sketches I ever saw. Whoever came up with the idea (Mr Enfield no doubt) must have had some trouble convincing the producers that it might be funny. It’s so funny but I still don’t know why.

I remember Harry being interviewed ages ago and when asked what his most odd fan interaction was, he said he was walking down a street, a lorry pulled up in front of him, the driver jumped out pointed at a tree and shouted “TREE!!!” Then got back in the lorry and drove off! Genius! 🤣

We went on a bus tour which took us round Orkney - and were sat near a couple of young guys from England who obviously thought the Scots spoke funny, so they did the odd impromptu skit... but one of the things they found hilarious was our pronounciation of the word 'trout', which, in Scottish vernacular is often pronounced as 'troot' so every so often they'd just shout "Troot!!!", but usually prompted by something fishy or fish-like, such as signs on shops or vehicles, etc.

One aspect of this sketch I adore is Harry Enfield's alien (appropriately wearing an "H" on his head) putting two and two together with the parking meter: "Carr trlee!!". That and the two aliens touching noses & turning around in celebration! I'm started impersonating bits of this sketch again after watching this! Although I'm wondering whether Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport, the Teletubbies' creators, were watching this back in 1992 and something clicked! :-) "The bay-bee Jee-sahs! Aaaahhh!!"
