We leave Betanzos on the third stage of the English Way from the Hermanos García Naveira square. After crossing the river Mendo, a good asphalt climb begins.
After crossing the A-6 over a flyover, we cross the village of Xanrozo, surrounded by vegetation, until we reach the church of San Esteban de Cos, an example of Galician rural baroque.
The new "official" route now follows the CP-0105 road, with stretches without sufficient hard shoulder, until shortly before Presedo, where we turn left and in just over 1 km. we find the Mesón Xente no Camiño, located in the middle of the route and an almost obligatory stop to regain strength.
Alternating asphalt with dirt tracks we continue to the church of Santaia (Eulalia) de Leiro, where the "official" route takes us up forest tracks to the place of As Travesas, where it joins the branch of the English Way that leaves Coruña.
We are on the AC-542 road, and Casa Avelina, with special treatment for pilgrims, serves as a rest after the climb. A little more than 1 km. of road and we turn off to the left onto a dirt track to reach Hospital de Bruma. We have to take the detour on asphalt to approach Mesón do Vento where we stay.
