Another great video. Far clearer demonstration of how to assemble Greenwich couplings compared to the old, grainy video I found on KZitem when I started making them a few years ago. PS you might like to add a tag for Greenwich couplings so people find your video if they are looking for that.

Thanks, glad it’s been useful. They have changed the design slightly aswell so this is more up to date I guess. Thanks for the tip, I’ve added it as a tag

@@gs425 ah that’s a shame. I’m sure you had narrow gauge specific exhibitions down your way at one point, that would have been a great chance

You might want to clean the blackened part with water, after the chemical treatment, as it will keep on working if you don’t. The instructions should also say this. My instructions also say to thin the liquid with water for use, not to use it undiluted as you did. But I guess we’ll see in a future video if it does any damage. 😉 Also, better to use a cocktail stick for positioning the decals (I actually use two). The sharp tweezers will tear the decal, in my experience.

I’ve used it in this way for years with no issues, but if it says to wash it, then I’d do that. Yeah I usually use cocktail sticks with decals, I probably had been using them here but had tweezers in my hand to adjust them at some point

@@GWilliamsonModels I would resort to the same if I hadn't anything around. I think it also depends how long you take. The decal seems to get softer the longer you keep it wet. Normally I also spray a clear varnish before applying the decals, as the text will come off (will float), the longer it takes you to position them and then touch the surface.

So do the Bachman couplers couple to the Greenwich ones I mean I am fine using both . And if these are cheaper I may use them for my slate truck and open cosch builds … or any resin model I make in future . I just need to know if they will work fine enough with the Bachman couplers on say . Skarloey and rheneas as if I gave my slate trucks Greenwich couplers on the end to couple … would they work completely fine with a skarloey ? And I mean skarloey fresh out of his box I mean
@GWilliamsonModels

Yes as long as you fit the Greenwich couplings at the right height
