On August 9th, 2022, President Biden signed the CHIPS and Science Act into law, providing nearly $280 billion in new funding to boost domestic research and manufacturing of semiconductors. The Act represents a major initiative in American industrial policy and occurs against the backdrop of a growing innovation competition between the United States and China.
To better understand how the CHIPS and Science Act can promote regional economic growth and innovation, the Renewing American Innovation Project invites you to an all-day conference on ‘Enhancing the Regional Impact of the CHIPS and Science Act' cohosted by the Indiana University Public Policy Institute.
For this event, CSIS is pleased to host policymakers, regional stakeholders, industry leaders, and technologists in a series of panels discussing how the United States can maximize the regional economic footprint of the CHIPS and Science Act.
Due to space restrictions, RSVPs are required in advance for this event and will be re-confirmed via email from Renewing American Innovation. Credentialed members of the media will receive instructions as part of a separate confirmation issued by the Office of External Relations. Your event registration is not transferrable.
This event is made possible through general support to CSIS.
