Thanks for this great video, I should say for these videos. Enki Bilal, Philipe Druillet and Jean Giraud (Moebius) are the artists who influenced/motivated me the most when I started to be interested in SF. They still have an important place in my "hall of fame".

You have touched the sacred void and express the imagery you are gifted whilst there in your painterly stories. This is my first encounter with your art, it surely will not be my last. May creative visions by means of paint and pen thrive and shine in the heart of humankind for all time. Blessings on a warm breeze.

Nice video about Bilal. I discovered him with «The Hunting Party» in Pilote magazine. Then I became a big fan, reading all his publications. I think his best work was with collaborator Pierre Christin. Later when Bilal went solo I stopped reading his work after «The Nikopol Trilogy», his drawings became more like paintings (he was actually selling his drawings/paintings after books where published). Nothing bad about changing styles, it’s even a good sign that the artist has an evolution. I saw is three film, the first was lacking a big budget, same for the second one (I totally forgot the plot) and the third one was more about his universe, although it is impossible to replicate the «patina» of his drawings. With every film with special effects those will look dated in a few years. I think you can still enjoy «Immortal» (a little dated maybe).

Man, what a strange turn of events: Some time back I saw this video in my recommended but didn't watch it cause I was busy at that moment. I ended up forgetting about it but days later (today precisely) while watching some movies I came across the 2004 film adaptation of that Nikopol comic called Immortal (Ad Vitam). Didn't even check the name of the director till I finished but when I did the vague memory of seeing that name and thumbnail came to me. From there I slapped in Bilal's name into KZitem and, bam, there this video was. Funny that I'll make a note, this time, to buy a comic ;)
