he was diagnosed with dementia and started experiencing the symptoms. he didn't want to forget his family and experience dementia, so this was the only thing he could do. it helps to know he didn't have to suffer through dementia

thats the thing about depression, the man had all the love in the world from his family and friends to people who never met him yet he still felt he had to do what he did, people still to this day do not take it as seriously as they should!

@Esau Davis he had depression on top of that. In the autopsy they found antidepressants. But yes I agree that his depression wasn’t the reason for his suicide and that he did commit solely because of Lewy body dementia, but yes he did also have depression at the time

Robin was very sick, he just made a difficult and coureageous decision to go on his terms rather than become a human vegetable over time. I respect that. He was a treasure to mankind, great actor, great person, impacted so many lives and inspired so many people.

It’s true if you ruminate about his death enough you will reach the conclusion that he committed suicide not so much because of his disease but because he was being bled dry financially the amount of money he paid out in divorce settlements and alimony on top of the settlements meant he could never really retire and have much left for his children. He wasn’t even sleeping in the same bed with his last wife it was the maid who found his body and now his last wife is legally fighting his children over his estate .Prenuptial agreements are very important these days , I’m wondering if the women in his life that he did marry If they would have married him if he had presented them with a prenuptial agreement.

Us MGTOW guys were talking about that when he first died, many of us through divorce know first hand the way the court system annihilates men taking everything from them without mercy, and how you can find yourself in a very dark and desperate place

I don't understand why Robin Williams died he had so much in this life and he made people smile and laugh and he was on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, he won an oscar for Good Will Hunting, He made his mark in Hollywood as a comedian and known as a serious actor. He was funny and serious in many ways and he had a family and children. He was sitting on a winning lottery ticket and its sad that he took his own life, he could have made a better choice but you never know with people. You never know. He even stated that Suicide was a temporary solution to a temporary problem. He knew that! Even Kate Spade died she killed herself and she left her daughter Bea behind and a note saying "Go ask your father!" That's really sad. I don't know if it was mental illness or just people at their lowest point in their life but we all think about that at some point. Ending your life its not worth all the pain you give to your family and friends.

He had Lewy Body dementia, which caused his brain to give him misinformation. That’s ultimately what killed him. He didn’t want to put his family or himself through a disease that would have killed him eventually.

He had undiagnosed Lewy Body Dementia. It’s a progressive disease with no cure. He was losing control of his body and brain. He would’ve eventually died from the disease, the progression would have been awful, and he would have lost complete control of his body and mind. There was nothing doctors could’ve done to even slow it. He made a decision about his quality of life that I don’t envy having to make.
