From an ENTJ-perspective, I think this is among the 2 best descriptions I saw passing by in recent years. There is no doubt in my mind that this work captures the essence of what it is like living with this mindset. Lonely and restless. Great job 👍

@@WorldSocionics This was the other one: kzitem.info/news/bejne/lm2OuXqveqiimaA. Other great written descriptions are by Gulenko and "The Best ENTJ Guide ever written". I often try to explain myself using either of those 2, but I don't think it ever works. People look at the words, but they just don't get the real meaning (even if they say and think they do). It makes me wonder if one can ever truly understand what it must be like being a certain personality type. Probably not, imo ...

@@jograves8859 I haven't studied Skimmerlit his type, but I get an INTP-vibe. It would make sense that the best descriptions of how it must be like having any of the different kinds of mindsets comes from a person with Ne somewhere high in the stack. As an ENTJ I can narrow the differences down to the clearest distinctions (producing the essence or the gist of things), but I am aware that there is an "awful much" that doesn't get noticed on this narrow Ni-path. That "awful much" can make the difference in "getting it" and "truly understanding it", especially in combination with thinking Ti.

Eat to live not live to eat. Does anyone else view food as an exhausting chore to placate your body’s incessant needs? The other day at a family event we had dinner. I had just eaten something that gave me enough energy for the next few hours. My MIL took it as a sign of distaste for the food before me. I had to tell her no, I don’t need it. Which quickly came across as extremely rude in earlier years of knowing my husband. But now, she’s used to my quirks :) and I eat when I want when I need it without hassle ❤

The correlation between this type and the type 3 is very evident almost in all its aspects. Creating a social mask. Ive been considering if E1 may also fit this type as well due to the need for perfection. Especially for the countertype type 1 which aims at creating an ideal vision of what things could be. Great analysis!
@jasonblack4208

While I think this is a reasonably common typing, I don't think it's as common as most people believe. 3 is fundamentally an others-focused type, desiring to be impressive, keeping track of other people's opinions, easily shamed (even if most won't show it, especially the males). LIE is more individualistic and autonomy-seeking, with focus on other people having a more situational, "I'm just here for work" quality. imo, they're just as likely to be 8s or counterphobic 6s, and I wouldn't be surprised if there were a few 5s among them.
@kreole7376
5 ай бұрын
@@jasonblack4208 I'm interested to know your argument more on 5. 5s hoard and preserve their energy and mainly do that in terms of isolation and seeking from within. LIEs on the other hand have a need for external structuring and with mobilizing Se which isn't well you can attest that their will isn't as strong and cunning as an Se dom would be. Which also takes me to why you think an LIE with inferior Se could be an 8?
@jasonblack4208
5 ай бұрын
@@kreole7376 Sure. It's not a common typing, but 5 is also an intellectual, hyper-independent type with an eye for resource acquisition. You'd probably see more emphasis on planning than "hustling" in an LIE 5, and they'd be very likely to be 583 (the double assertive fixed 5). Think someone like Bill Gates. That's probably an LIE 5 (again, not the most common, on account of the energy management you mentioned, but they're out there on occasion).

Mirror relationships are interesting, my dad is my mirror. I can tackle subjects that both of us enjoy discussing (and are both well-versed in, same ego block) and learn/teach more than with almost anyone else, but it can also be the relationship filled with the most frustration. Probably because subjects related to our ego blocks are very easy for both of us to discuss, yet the difference in leading (and temperament) makes for some of the most competitive relations out there imo whenever that difference is at the heart of a disagreement, which ends up creating the greatest disagreements at times (when both types are absolutely convinced they are right, or convinced the other is focused on the wrong thing), so it can go either way lol.

@@WorldSocionics specifics- you both have conflicts in positions but I've found Cs Josephs ENTJS vids detail a lot of my habits including my forgetfulness. This vid did the same, you vocalised beautifully my position on learning effective communication skills. Humans will not just do what I want them to do and through learning this skill I can actually find useful and worthwhile humans to be around. Any king/emperor/CEO/notable person could not do it alone. An army is required. I came to the logical conclusion that I needed the same to live a full existence and scratch the itch of conquest.

@@monkofdark123There is somewhere an interesting observation in Socionics that says that "identical relations" (like ENTJ/ENTJ) are great to observe from a 3d person perspective how your own type is perceived by others. I must say that the ENTJ-expressions above ("Humans will not just do what I want them to do.", "useful and worthwile humans to be around", ...) are quite condescending to read and I really hope I personally don't come accross that way to others. I really don't feel like some kind of emperor who condescendantly looks down on "mere humans". Decades of gathering knowledge has actually only made me feel very humble and I wish all "humans" would feel the same. If we all knew we individually understand almost nothing and we were all "OK with that", I think the world could become a better place in which "humans" help each other iso trying to compete with each other because of their stupid ego's.
