In highschool (dutch) i ditched geography because i was super bad at topography, which my overal grades couldn't buffer. Thanks to KZitem i can now learn a bit about the interesting things without having to worry about getting passing grades. So thanks for these videos.

You're fabulous for making such a well-planned and thorough resource to teach the basics of Environmental Science. I'm going to be starting my class in a week and want a leg-up, since it's a shorter, accelerated, 8-week course--a first for me at this institution! Again, thank you. I hope the teachings you've made public here spread far and wide. : )

Hello and greetings from Sydney. I am very pleased that you've started making new videos. I have followed your videos for years and now I have a new range to enjoy. You probably don't realise just how much effect you have on irrelevant Joes like me. If I could make one request, it would be 'please don't stop'. If this makes you happy, then good. You deserve it.

Hi, this is a bit off topic, but I am writing an essay on the algae problems that Lake Okeechobee has to deal with. I'd like to have some interesting material concerning those problems (sources). Thanks in advance!
@EarthandSpaceSciencesX

Yeah, that is a major problem for the people of Florida. Typically, these problems are caused by runoff from farms that contain a lot of phosphorus that then dumps into the lake and promotes algae growth (phosphorus is typically a limiting agent because it is fairly scarce in most ecological systems and fertilizers remove those limitations which is why the algae goes wild). I will be issuing a lecture in the coming months that covers this issue. As far as references go, the local water quality control board should have all of the documents you need and they should be both public and online. Try looking there. Good luck!

Not exactly stoaked on the term ecosystem services. It’s basically using corporate speak to describe nature. Given that environmental science is an interdisciplinary field and includes aspects of social science. I think there is a need to critically reflect on the terminology used.
