Wow you literally only spent 10seconds talking about doing CJI. 😅 Obviously we know the money is important but I would have liked to hear more about giving up your ADCC Dream and potential match ups in CJI

I’ve always heard of R guard as de la riva with your second leg also wrapping but I’ve also never met anyone who does this and only seen Diego Pato do this against Dante Leon

I’ve been emphasizing compound lifts (e.g: deadlifts/squats/bench) for efficiency but wanted your opinion on good compound lifts for the amount of time i am able to weight lift throughout the week

question on what a good weekly lifting split would be if I’m weightlifting 2-3 times a week and doing jj 2-4 times a week.

You absolutely should not be using RPE as a bjj athlete. Most of these guys are novice lifters. Even advanced lifters struggle to rate their perceived exertion.

If you can’t rate how are you are working on a scale 1-10 then I feel for you man
@HenchPig

@@charlesallan-price362 No actually most people cant. They say its an RPE 9 and they had like 5 reps in reserve. RPE is unnecessary for most people especially bjj athletes who are novices in the weight room and it usually is a negative due to what I previously said.

@@HenchPig its learn curve - why are you scared to teach people how to rate there efforts on a scale 1-10. for sure people will fuck it up on the onset but the process of practicing it over time will allow them to get better at it. people arent as stupid as you think mate.

@@thecharleseoghanexperience Disagree. Anyone can rate 1-10 but the accuracy will always be off. Like I said - many people will claim a set is RPE 9 and it is at least 5+ reps from failure. Even more experienced people do this which is why RPE doesn’t work for most people. It is absolutely not for Jiujitsu athletes who require basic novice programming. That majority of the best coaches in the world are against RPE especially for novices.
